The Rev Mr McGregor, pastor, took the chair at 8 o'clock, when a good ,programme was rendered, consisting, of cbnruses by the Sabbath sohool,reeitations, and solos. Then the candies were distri- buted to the members of the Sabbath School. This will make the contest for that office a three cornered cite, the other cane didates being Messrs Geo McKenzie and John Hanna. We have not heard of any opposition to Mr Clegg for the Mayoralty. The secretary read the resignation of Mh,s Henderson, which was accepted by the board. After a long discussion as to the advisability of procuring a ardor and class female teacher to fill the vacancy; it was finally decided to advertise for a 2nd 'class female teacher iu the.
