4 1!INE SCHEMER
• The Alan of campaign as successfully
carried out on three banks in Seattle
was something in this fashion :-An
innooeat farmer -looking gentleman
would visit a real estate agent, look
over his lint of properties for sa1e,1
make inquiries as to the .prices, local
tion, eto, and intimate ,that if there
was motley to be made the farmerbut
gentleman would like to be in it,
otherwise not any. Three or four
visits, some wavering, a visit to the
properties for sale, and mutual confi-
dences would in the tours of .a week
or tea.. days establie quite an intimacy.
The same policy would be pursued
with one .or two other real estate
agents in widely different localities, so
as to avoid any complications, and
when the acquaintance was ripe and
the dealer eager to sell, the farmer
gentleman would begin to talk of pur-
chase. "I've got a draft here on the
National Bank," he would say.
"Now, I'll take this piece of property ;
pay you $200 Dash, and the balance
in thirty days." Perfectly
tory.

learned that at Van Alystine, Texas,
