Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dale spent Christmas Eve with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Storey and family of Mc- Killop. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thompson and Ricki spent Friday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Carter Kerslake and Craig of Staffa for the Christmas family gather- • 0 ti a, News of Huronview The residents• were entertained on Sunday afternoon by the Seaforth Lions' Club with a variety program fol- 0 lowed by a visit from Santa Claus who had a treat for' everyone. The chorus of twenty-five club members led in carol singing, songs and tap dancing by a group of young people directed by Mrs. Orville Storey, and bag- pipe selections by Joe McLean and Doug Hoover. This annual event is greatly appreciated by the residents with the auditorium filled to capacity. The Administrator, Mr. 4 Archibald, thanked those taking part for the enjoyable afternoon. It was standing room only on Monday afternoon for the residents' Christmas party. Mr. Archibald was chair- man for the concert which included readings by Mrs. Alice Buchanan, Mrs. Rutledge, Miss Diehl, Mrs. West- land, Miss C. Dougall, Miss S. Carter and Mrs. Pais- ley; two skits, "Gifts for Old Grumpity" and "The Cat- astrophe"; musical numbers by the Huronview Orches- 0 tra; Rhythm band, piano solos by Barbara Miller and Chas. Jeffs; several carols by a mixed chorus with solo parts taken by Helen Fischer, Ilene McEwen and Morgait'Dal- ton. Santa Claus dropped in at four o'clock to invite the over two hundred residents to the dining area for a Christilias supper of fancy sandwiches, cookies and Christmas cake. - Bud Walker was chairman for the Wesley-Willis Sun- 0 day School program on Family Night . The story of the Other Wise Man was illustrated with coloured slides and narrated by Dr. Mowatt. Mrs. Mary Hearn directed the Junior Choir who sang several Christmas numbers ac- companied by a rhythm band and pianist, Lorne potterer, with Mrs. Mary Nediger leading the singing of carols. Mrs. Paisley, who had been a Sunday School teacher at Wesley-Willis for many years, praised the leadets for the fine program on behalf of the resi- dents. The pioneer Girls from the Exeter Emmanuel Bap- tist Church , along with their leaders, Mrs. Dickey and Mrs. Foster, toured the Home on Thursday evening sing- 0, ing carols.
