Mrs. Adams gave the motto and Mrs. K. McKay gave the uses of aluminum foil and Mrs. Bill aatten, Exeter, a demonstrat- ion. Mrs. V. Alderdice was in charge of lunch. Members of Kippen East W.I. and families enjoyed a sm,)rgas- bard supper when family night was held in Hensall Legion Hall. Charades and contests pro- vided fun and laughter. The members presented a skit "Lib- eration or Bust". Mrs. V. Alderdice showed slides of the Women's Institute activities dur- ing the past year. The children played bino with Mrs. Al Hog- garth in charge. The adults played euchre. The winners : Ladies High - Mrs. H. Caldwell; Ladies 2nd, - Mrs . G.Bell; Ladies low - Mrs. Campbell Eyre; Men's High - Ross Broad- foot; Men's 2nd. - M.Connolly; Men's Low - Grant McLean. Lone Hands - Ross Broadfoot. Mrs. V. Alderdice and Mrs. Jam es Drummond were in charge of the program. Mr. Elzar Mousseau and his brother Mr. Herb Mousseau of Zurich were fishing at Hayfield en Friday and landed some good ones, among them a 7 lb. rainbow trout. Mr. and Mrs, V . L.Alder- dice and Miss Lynn Alderdice spent the week end with Mr, and, Mrs. Harvey Alderdice,Tor- onto. His home projdct Chit Kwong Prim- ary School. A donation and let- ter was received from Mrs. Lou- ise Bennewies, Detroit, who is a. patient in a nursing home there. She was a former member here of the L.C.W. The ladies have set aside a donation towards' the Ritz Villa to be built in Mit- chell as a proposed project. Plans were made to visit Mrs. Lena Bennewies who is patient at the Kilbarchan Nurs- ing Home., and arrange a Christ mas Programme and present all the patients there with a gift, also remembering the shut- ins. Mrs. G. Rock, Mrs. Albert Bauer, Mrs. Lloyd Prueter and Mrs. Edgar Elligson will*serve us for another year in office, all other committees remaining the same. The meeting closed with a poem ',Christmas" by Mrs. Rock and the Missionary benediction. Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Beuer- man spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. William Jacobs in Kit- chener. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Oliver, and • Mr. Keith Sayler, Stratford, vis- d ited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Wolfe. „ter Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ahrens attended the funeral of Mrs. Ah- ren's aunt, Mrs. Thomas Pritch- ard at Clifford on Monday. Mrs. Helen .Lockridge and Peter, WAtford and Mrs. Mar- jorie Anderson, Theresa and Gregory, Watford, and Miss Phy- Ills Ahrens, Newmarket spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Har- vey Ahrens. • • Cat and gave a talk on acting and makeup. The group was formed to find employment for the winter months and they entertain at orphanages and schools.
