The A.C.W. met Thursday
at the home of Mrs. R. H. Mid-
dleton. The President, Mrs. W.
Scrabuik, opened the meeting with
the members prayer. A de-
votional froth the Living Message
was read by Mrs. Mary Taylor,
Rev. G. A. Anderson and Mrs.
Scrabuik. 'Mrs. Windover read
a poem called "Christmas Eve".
The business of the day was
conducted and a report on en-
tertainment at the Queensway
Nursing Home was given. Those
helping this month are Mrs.Mary
Taylor, Mrs. Annie Reid, Mr.
and Mrs... Frank Forrest, Mrs.,
FannyClarke, Mrs. R. H. Mid-
dleton, Miss Olive Petty and
Mrs. Windover. The roll call
was answered by reading a
verse from the Bible with the
word 4,joy" in it. Mrs.Clarke
gave the study called '"God
solves all our problems". Rev.
Anderson • showed slides of the
Cathedral in Exeter, England.
Rev. Anderson closed the meet-
ing/with prayer.

the Tuck Cart indicated the suc-
cess of these two services and
a bank balance of $1,415.61.
Mrs. Clair Campbell reported
there were 45 active members
and two associate members who
had paid their• membership fees.
Mrs. John Turnbull, director, of
volunteer services, reported 14
candy stripers were active at the
hospital after school and on week-
ends. Miss Dorothy Parke re-
ported the Auxiliary Dance in
November netted a profit of
$460.21. Miss Alice Reid announ-
ced the Vanishing Parties are.
underway with Miss Parke having
held the initial party at tier home
November 25. To date Miss Reid
said $70 had been turned in to
her.
Mrs. Joseph McConnell pre-
sided over the social part of
the meeting. Mrs. Arthur Dev-
ereaux gave a reading. Santa
Claus arrived to enliven the
party and distributed the gifts,
and was himself presented with
a gift by Mrs. Bennett.
The mystery prize was won
by Mrs. W. Arthur Wright and
prizes were won by Mrs. Tony
De Coo, Mrs. Gwen Darcy, Mrs.
Leo Teatero, Mrs. Brad Smfth
and Mrs. George Wheatley.
Mrs. James A. Stewart played
the piano for the singing of
Christmas carols. A special
Christmas lunch was served ,,by
Mrs. W. T. Teall and her com-
mittee.
Curdy and Dale William, infant
Son of Mr. and Mrs. David Levy-
were baptized.

Daryl and Kim of Avonton were
Sunday evening dinner guests
with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Brint-

Mrs. William Stephens of Cal-
gary returned home on Saturday
evening after spending three
weeks with her mother, Mrs.
Frank Rodd.

Mrs. Reg McCurdy and Jason
were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Step-
hen of Elimville, Mr.and Mrs.
Ira McCurdy, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Watson of Third Line, Mr. and
