Jewitt, Carol Bowker accompanied by Chrystal Jewitt
led the sing-song on Wednesday at the nionthly program
and tea.sponsOred by the Clinton Kinette Club.
The, residents of Huronview were happy to have a
I
return visit from the Jolly Millers, a group of entertainers
from 13enmiller, for the Family Night program. The
variety program included a one act play, several action
songs, a sing-a-long by the group, accordian solos by Marie
Willis, drum selections by Ernie Pfrimnrer and'Mrs. Barry
Millian accompanying on the piano for the musical numbers.
It has been very encouraging this month to have had the
assistance of some new volunteers. We are afraid it will be
impossible to carry on some of the programs without more
help, and we-would be pleased to hear from anyone interested
in volunteer work.

Thoughts For
Space Age •
(By Mrs.Terrance Hussey)
, I wonder why it is these days
So many learned men
• Think they must travel out thru'
space
TO find new lands again.
It seems to the that if it 'is
For friendship that they thirst,
They ought to stay at home and
learn
To love earth-neighbours first.
And if they seek to vanquish
Those neighbours far away
I'm sure that it is very wrong,
For look at it this way, -
If we looked up one morning,
„Anti found a space ship there,
If they should try to conquer us
We wouldn't think it fair.
So be sure of your intentions
Ere you travel tliru the sky,
For surely we should plan to do
As we would be done by!
I wonder what our neighbours
From outer space would say,;,
If they should come to visit,
On a space ship one fine day?
They'd look around this world of
Ours
To see what Earthmen make,
They'd see the fo who have no
. bread
While ethers eat the cake.
They'd see the backward savage
Who kills men one by one
Then they'd see educated folks
Kill dozens with a gun. •
Of course we have another way
That's lots .more fun, by far!
We../411 up from a blittle,
Then
We preach 'now love thy brother;
13e kind and do riot fight!'
And all these things we do real
well
ek men with a car! llill
Jtist so. his colour's right! -
We say that Mr. so and so's
A dirty rotten sneak
For doingjust the self same
we did the other week.
Invite them for a visit,
And then insult them bad,
Then say that they're pernickety
Because they get quite mad.
'The way we treat each other
Would likely make them sick,
They'd hurry to their space ship
And go back home right quick! '
