banquet at Dashwood Industries
last Wednesday. This being the
Canadian Industries meeting, 'a
plant tour was conducted by staffr
members. Slides were shown of
the Dashwood Industry plants in,
Ontario, Vancouver and of homes
and apartments where ,,tiash-
wood" windows are used.

The, November meeting of
Kippen U.C.W. was conducted
by Mrs. Tom Reid, president
for the month. She read a poem
on Remembrance Day.
Worship was • presented by
Mrs'. Leonard Lovell with the,
theme "Love is Constructive".
The secretary, Mrs. Edison Mc-
Lean read the minutes and the
Roll Call was answered by nam-
ing a United church missionary
and where he was stationed.
The topic followed the theme
of the Worship Service of Love
and was given by Mrs. Paul Pack-
man, She concluded with a poem
,,My Purpose". Mrs. David
Cooper gave a piano instrumen-
tal. A committee was named to

A special speaker at the day-
long session of the presbytery
at Northside United Churdh,
which was attended by '78 clergY
and lay delegates, was Rev.
James B, Gibson. who has rec-
ently returned to Canada after
spending seven years as a mis-
sionary in Trinidad. He spoke on
conditions there when he arrived
in 1964 and how, he fitted into
the United Church ih Trinidad.
He outlined the development of
the church there.
Reports were given by the
various committee chairmen.
They were: Rev. Bill Bt of
LiStOWel, Rev. Ross Cro y of
St. Marys, Rev. Douglas war-
ren of Crediton, Rev. Barry
passmore of wingham, and, Rev.
Donald Deas of Mitchell.
• The next•m eeting of the Pres-
bytery will be held in Mitchell
on February 22.
• Rev. Frederick Faist of St.
John's Church, Stratfo'Fd, chair-
man of the Presbytery, presided
over the session.
