"Come Ye thaekful people come" was sung to open the meeting and thank you letters were read from Diane McNichol, Margaret Lamont, Margaret Hul- ley and Laura Hoggart. Mrs. Russell Bolton presided for the worship service in which Mrs. Leslie Campbell read the scripture lesson taken from Gen- esis 8 verses 1 - 22; Luke 17: 17- 19 and Mrs. Laverne Hoegy led in prayer. Mrs. Elmer Koehler sang "A little bit of love" and Mrs. Wm. Little contributed a poem. To advertise, just Dial Seaforth 527-0240. • Usborne Increases Drain Loans As the result of increased borrowing powers with the pro- vincial Acixernment, farmers in Usborne township will be allowed to receive more per acre on tile drain loans. At the latest meet- ing of council, the ceiling pn a tile drain loan application was set at $150 per acre. The limit previously was $100 per acre. Only a few weeks earlier approval had been received from the Ontario Municipal Board set- ting the Usborne -tile drainage borrowing bylaw at $500,000. Word was received recently from the Ontario Department of Transportation and Corn 'nunicat- ions that Osborne will receive $5,950 in subsidy for special winter control, maintenance dur - ing last January's heavy snow storm and $1,550 for additional- normal maintenance as supple- mentary subsidy allocation for the current year.
