(photo by Phillips) Et More Voters In Hurd:in-Bruce The provinclil riding of Huron-Bruce, using preliminary 'Si enumerators lists as a guide, has 3499 more "voters than in the election of 1967. In 1967, the total number of eligible voters was 19,705. The preliminary tabulation in 1971 shows 23,304 voters in the riding. George McCutcheon of Brus- sels is the returning officer for the riding succeeding William McCool of Wingham Who had carried out -these duties for several elegtions. Mr. Mc- Cutcheon has an office in the Curling Rink in Wingham for the duration of the election. Municipalities in the imme- diate area have the following number of eligible voters on the, list with the figures for 1967 in brackets: Luckpow 774 (683); Kinloss 725 (6'45); Huron Twp. 914 (750); 'West Wawanosh 752 (659); Ashfield 942 (831); Ripley 36.1 (288); TeeSwater 652 (563); Culross 986 (858). While the largest increases are attributed to the new 18 to 21 year old voters, some of the growth is directed towards corn- munitles which have seen art in- crease in residents because of the Douglas Point project. The num- ber of eligible voters in Kincar- dine is up about 500. A surpris- ing fact is that a poll set up for the camp area at Douglas Point has produced only 15 eligible voters. The majority of workers there are permanent residents ceniMutillg 901'4gal- ends ,and do not fill the require- ments for -Voting in the riding according to the returning officer. _•071Nnosn----- RED OR BLUE BRAND RED OR BLUE BRAND PERSONALLY' SELECTED RED OR BLUE BRAND RED OR BLUE VIAND 41-SO LBS CUT INTO SIRLOIN, 'f-BONE, WING. & PORTERHOUSE STEAKS BONELESS RIB SWISS GOVERNMENT INSPECTED BRANDED DEO Talk YOUR HOME 'FREEZER co Et YOURSELF AND SAVE OR LET US GUI AND WRAP 11' TO YOUR SPECIFIC FICA FOR 6' PER LS.
