harvested in the various orchards
in the community.

Golden autumn mums and
candelabra formed the setting for
the wedding solemnized in St.
'Thomas Anglican Church,
Seaforth on Saturday, September
25, 1971 at 3P.M. whenparriage
vows and rings were exchanged
before the Rev. H. Donaldson of
Delhi, Ontario between Mary
Anne, only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Bruce McLean and James
Roelof Snowdon, eldest son of
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Snowdon,
all of SeafortIr. Holy Ccimmun-
ion was celebrated by the rector,
,the Rev. S. Sharpies.
Miss Anne Legg, Goderich,
cousin of the bride, presided'at
the organ and accompanied the
soleisti Miss Margaret Elligsen,
Waterloo, who sangthe "Wedding
Prayer".
The' bride, given in marriage
by' her father, looked radiant in
a floor length gown pf swiss
sheer designed ,by 'Priscilla of
- McLEAN
Boston: 'Venice lace encrusted
the wedding band neckline, front
of bodice and flowing A line
skirt, also the Victorian sleeves.
The attached cathedral train was
complemented by the same
laee. A hand fashioned Juliet
cap held her short illusion veil.
She carried her mother's
Prayer Book adorned with orange
sweetheart roses, a sprig, of
heather, trailing ivy and satin
streamers knotted with rose
petals.
Attending the bride wereMiss
Dianne Patterson, Guelph, as
maid of honour, Miss Pamela
Snowdon, sister of the groom,
Miss Lynn' MacLean, cousin of
the bride, as bridesmaids. Miss
Elizabeth Ann Johnston,
Stratford, was junior bridesmaid.
All were gowned alike in autumn
orange moire taffeta-skirts, off-
white blouses featuring leg-o-
inutton sleeves and a ruffled wed—
ding ring neckline, dark brown
velvet cumberbunds and matching
hair bows. Nosegays of miniature
golden mums complemented their
attire.
Attending the groom was Mr.
Wm. Scott, Kitchener. Ushers
were Mr. Robert Legg, Goderich,
cousin of the bride, Mr. Wm.
Southgate, Seaforth, and Mr.
Thos. Snowdon, brother of the
groom.
The wedding dinner was
served in the Parish Hall of St.
Thomas Anglican Church
followed by a reception at the
home of the bride's parents.
For travelling to the Atlantic
coast, the bride changed to a
purple crushed velvet pant dress,
black patent accessories and cor-
sage of yellow mums.
Mr. and Mrs. Snowdon will
reside in Dublin, Ontario. r
- Prior to their wedding Mary
Anne was feted at showers given
by Misses Dorothy Parke, Dianne
Patterson, Jeannette•Finnigan
and Mrs. Alex Pepper and Mrs.
Wm. Millson.
Mrs. Bruce McLean held a
trousseau tea in honour of tier
daughter, assisted by friends of
the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Snow-
don entertained the wedding party
following rehearsal Friday
evening at their home on James
Street; Seaforth.
St. Columban's Roman
Catholic Church was the setting
August 28th, 19'71 for the
marriage of Margaret Susan
(Peggy) Cornish, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. David C. Cornish, olu
Seaforth, to Paul Louis O'Reilly,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis
O'Reilly of R.R.No.5, Seaforth.
Rev. Oostveen officiated.
At the seven o'clock service
the church. was decorated with
large bouquets of White gladioli.
Mrs. Vincent Lane was the
organist and Mr. Brian Melady
and Mr. Tom Burke played gui-
tars and sang folk music. .
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full
length gown of white georgette
over satin and carried a bouquet
of pink carnations, white roses
and white heather. Her three
tiered -shoulder length veil was
held in place by a band of white
roses.
The dress was fashioned with
.a 'full skirt with a wide flounce
at the hem and had short puffed
sleeves with a frill around the
arm and also around the high
neckline,

Dennis.' Wendland, of Kitchener
'and the bridesniaids

"Miss
Christine Reicheld of Kitchener,
cousin of the bride, , and Miss
Margaret McLean, of Seaforth,
wore gowns similar to the bride's,
in shades of avocado green, pale
pink and a deeper pink. Their,
dresses were trimmed, with
contrasting velvet sashes and
they carried nosegays.
Gordon Moylan of .at. Colum-
ban was groomsman and David
O'Reilly, 'brother of the groom,
and Tom Melady , of Dublin,
ushered the guests.
A reception followed at ,the
Seaforth , Golf 'Club where the
bride's mother received guests
in a turquoise dress with
matching coat and the groom's
mother assisted in a coat and
dress of brown and gold.
The bride wore an apple green
pant 'suit with white accessories
when they left for' their wed-
ding trip.
Guests were present from'
Port Dover, Kitchener, Deep
River and Montreal.
The couple are now residing
in London.

the pulpit of Kippen United Church
on Sunday while Rev. Paul Pack-

Mrs. Larry Forrest, and
family, Granton and Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Forrest, Dashwood visited
with Mrs. E. Forrest on Sunday.
Mrs. Mac Wilson visited in
London for a few days last week.
Mrs. Gordon Elliott, Miss
Gaye Elliott, London, spent Sun-
day with Mrs. Berry.

when the topic Was the many
ways we use dairy products in
menus each day and the con-
venience of them. Kathy Tom-
kins and Diane AndersOn made
chocolate fudge which Karen
Whitmore and Diane Baird,
served.
A number of the girls with

Kippen, was . the setting for the
marriage of Joan Beverley
Sinclair, Kitchener, and Bryan
David Stewart, Kitchener, which
took place on September 18th at
5 o'clock, with Rev. P. Packman
officiating.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John B. Sinclair,
Seaforth and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. 'David R.
'Stewart, Seaforth.
White and yellow shasta dais-
ies and white candelabra decor-
, ated the church.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a beautiful
formal white gown of poi de soie
with high neckline trimmed with
guipure lace, high empire waist-
line, also trimmed bodice with
matching lace. The sleeves fell
the leaders, visted Holmes Dairy
in Clinton when Mr. Holmes told
about each piece of equipment.
At a meeting at the home of
Faye Cantelon different ways to
make white sauces and gravies
were discussed. A cheese tray
was made up with different• kinds
of cheese and apple slices
ped in lemoe juice.• Nancy An-
derSon and Linda Coleman made
cheese drop biscuits and Kathy
Lawrence , and Rhonda Richard-
son buttered and served them.

skirt was a built in chapel train
from waistline to hemline. To
complete her beautiful gown;
she chose a lace trimmed Ju)iet
cap with silk illusion cathedral
veil edged in matching lace. She
carried a bququet of stephanotis,
white daisies and golden chalice
roses.
Mrs. Allan Grigg of London
was the matron of honor and the
bridesmaids were Mrs. Patrick
Smith, sister of the bride, Moun-
tain View, California, Mrs.
Donald McDowell, sister of the
groom, Kitchener and Miss
Sharon Riley, cousin 'of the bride,
London. Misses Patty and Janice
Grigg, nieces of the bride, London
were the junior brideimaids and
Master BrianGrigg, nephew of
the bride, London, was the ring-
bearer. The matron of honor,
bridesmaids and junior brides-
maids were dressed alike and
complemented the bride in thin
ankle length gowns of moss green
and gold figured voile. The
bodice` with natural waistline, was
accented by a scooped neckline
and baby doll sleeves which were -
trimmed with white French lace.
The hoop skirt was trimmed at
the bottom edge with same white
elegant lace. To complete their
outfits ' the bridesmaids wore
floppy hats of gold and green to
match the thin velvet sash around
the waistline. They carried bou-
quets of white and yellow shasta
daisies."'
The best man was Mr.Donald
McDowell, Kitchener and the
guests were ushered by Mr.Doug-
las Dalrymple, Toronto, Mr.
Walter Langford, Kitchener and
Mr. Allan Grigg, London.
Miss Jean Ivisoni-Kippen, was
the organist and accompanied the
soloist, Mrs. Ken Cardno, Sea-
forth, who sang "0 Perfect
Love", "Wedding Prayer" and
"I'll Walk Beside You".
The reception was held at
,the Seaforth Golf Club where the
bride's mother greeted the guests
wearing a Chinese jade satin poi
de sole dress with chiffon sleeves,
matching accessories and a cor-
sage of a deep purple orchid. She
was assisted by the groom's
mother who chose a dress of
azalea rose, double chiffon over
silk, with matching hand beaded
trim on neck, bodice and -cuffs,
matching accessories and minia-
ture rose buds worn in her hair. 4
