A number of ladles of the
Walton Wamen's Institute at-
tended the Huron County Rally
in the Ethel Community Hall on
Monday. The guest speaker was
Mrs. Myrtle MacNaughton, W Ing-
ham on "Challenge for Health".
A demonstration on "Seasonal
Crafts" was held.
° Mrs. Richard Porter, Wood-
stock visited with her mother,
Mrs. Thorinas Hackwell,
Alisson Traviss of Kitchener
spent a few days with her grand-
parents Mr. and Mrs. Herb Tray-
iss, while her parents, Dr. and
Mrs. 'Brian Traviss visited with
friends in Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Reid
spent the weekend with friends
in Sarnia.

BRIDAL SHOWER
The Walton Church base-
ment was prettily decorated with
autumn toned mums, streamers
and balloons for a shower in
honor of Shirley Williamson,
bride-elect of this month. Every-
one upon entering painted their
names on a lunch cloth prepared
by Mrs'. E. Mitchell, which was
given to Shirley.
Corsages were presented to
the guests of honour prior to
the program. Miss Christine
Lee thanked everyone for com-
ing to help make this a special
evening for Shirley. Mrs. Harold
McCallum. entertained with sev-
eral musical 'selectioes on 'the
harmonica. A reading followed
by Mrs. John -Bos entitled
"Husbands". Miss June William-
son favoured with a piano solo.
A contest pertaining to the
bride-to-be was conducted by
Mrs. Harvey Craig.
Miss Christine Lee asked
Shirley, her mother Mrs. Roy
Williamson, the groom's mother
Mrs. Laverty, and the grooM's
grandmother Mrs. Kenny to
tome forward and take their
places at. the front preceding
the address of Best Wishes,
after which the gifts were pre-
sented by June Williamson, Judy
Thamer, Shirley Johnston and

During the opening of the

colorful bows for Shirley to wear, ,
Shirley -expressed her thanks
to everyone who helped to Make
such a memorable evening,
Misses Judy Thamer and
Christinee Lee were hostesses
for a miscellaneous shower to
honor Miss Shirley Williamson
bride-elect of early this month,
when a number of Shirley's
former chums and schoolmates
gathered to wish her well.
Several contests were con-
ducted by Judy and Christine
during the evening. Christine
spoke-a, few words of Best Wishes
to Shirley and gifts were pre-
sented to her, which Shirley
thanked each girl for.

The Dairy Fairies met at the
home of Joanne Primeau when
officers elected were President,
Joanne De Groot; Vice Presi-
dent - Debbie McPherson; Sec-
retary - Floating; Treasurer -
Mary Lou De Groot; Press Re-
porter - Joanne Primeau.
Salmon dip, cheese drop bis-
cuits and a whipped topping were
made. Lynda Vincent thanked
Mrs. Primeau.

712 met in the Orange Hall on
Monday with a good attendance.
The next meeting will be held on r

Richard Boss Jr. of Stratford,

Boss of Norwich, Ontario were
married on Friday, August 27th
at 5 p.m. in the rectory of
Immaculate Conception Church
with Frank Dentinger officiating.
The bride's gown was of sheer
lagoda and French lace and she
carried a bouquet of red roses
and carnations,
Mrs. Delford Stemmler of
Norwich was her sister's matron
of honour in a blue capri gown
of sheer loganza, with a capri
bow in her hair. She carried
a bouquet of pink roses and
white carnations.
The brother of the groom,
John Boss of ,Norwich,. was
best man. A buffet lunch was
served at the home of 'the
bride's parents to the immed-
iate members of the family with
the reception- at 9 p.m. in the
Hartly House, Walkerton, when
some one hundred guests were
pre-sent.
The mother of the bride
received the guests in a yellow
linen dress with lace trim,
black accessories and a cor-
sage of yellow carnations. The
groom's mother assisted in a
printed grey ensemble with white
accessories and a blue carnation
corsage.
For travelling, the bride
wore a red papt suit with black
accessories and a,white carna-
tion corsage, The couple will
