Traditional organ music was played by Mrs. Ian Wilbee of Walton. Miss Sherrill Craig of London sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "Walk Hand in Hand". ;77 . r NOTE: FEES: AREA WEDDINGS BAKER - BEWLEY Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a White floor-length gown trimmed with guipure lace with matching train falling from the waist. She wore a shoulder length veil and carried a cascade of orange roses. Bridal attendantS were Brenda Bewley, sister of the bride, as maid of honour, Linda Traviss, Guelph and Elizabeth Bewley, Willowdale, as brides- maids. They were gowned in avocado princess styled dresses fahioned with a slight train. They carried bouquets of bronze and gold mums. Groomsman was Rick Cun- ningham of Brantford and ushers were Bill Bucklapd of Kincardine and Jim Mc Isaac of Moorefield. Following the reception in the Brussels Legion' Hall, the bride changed to a plum coloured double knit suit with black patent accessories. The couple will reside in Ingers9I1 where the bride is employed at Alexandra Hospital. The groom is attending Althouse College in London. 8t. Stephens Anglican Church, Gorrie, was the setting for the marriage of Judith Lynn King, daughter of Mrs. Ellen King, Gorrie, and the late Mr.Harry King., - and James Kenneth Shortreed, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Shortreed, Walton,'which took place - on September 3rd, 1971 at '7 P.M. with the Rev. J. L. 'Bali, Kinmount, Ontario, officiating, He- was the former officiating clergyman of the bride's parents wedding. Mrs. J. L. 13all, wife of the officiating clergyman, Kinmount, was the organik .and played two 'favorite hymns which were sung by the congregation. The bride chose a white polyester satin gown' with full , sleeves, deep set cuffs aild matching' hood. The Empire waistline and attachable train were both brimmed with white lace inserted with orange. She carried a white prayer book,' a keepsake, . with white orchid and• shower of ribbonintertwined with lily of the valley. Miss Diane Wamsley, Ft.R.#1, Teeswater, was the maid, of honor, and wore an icicle pra.nge peau de sole brocaded with lily of the valley gown and carried , a gathering basket of yellow porn poms, rosettes in matching col- ours with white talisman bow. The bridesmaids were Miss ' Cheryl Haskins, Gorrie. and Miss Marni BronsOn, Kitchener. One bridesmaid wore green and the other gold peau de soie brocaded With lily of the valley gowns. She was dressed in a white crepe pantsuit with lace on orange trim. She carried a miniature gathering basket of autumn shades of mums. . Maker Michael Beuerman, GOderich, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer. " William ahortreed. Walton cousin of the groom, was the best man and the guests were ushered by William Smith, Mit- chell and 'Jeff Lockridge, Wing- ham. The reception was held in the Wingham Legion Hall where the bride's mother received the guests wearing a mauve poly- ester crepe dress with long sheer sleeves, black accessories . and corsage of yellow roses. She was assisted by the groom's mother wearing a beige crepe dress with short sleeves, brown beaded trim, brown accessories with corsage of yellow roses. There was a smorgasbord buffet supper at 10:30 p.m. For the wedding trip to the United States, the bride travelled in a navy blue crepe pantsuit with peasant-styled laced belt, long full sleeves with, deep set cuffs• and red accessories. The couple , will reside at R.R.#3, Walton. Guests were present from Strathroy, Windsor, Toronto, Bayfield arid Kitchener.
