Council was informed that the

to meet with the council and any-other. interested persons
regarding the establishment of low-rental senior citizens
housing in the village. The clerk was instructed to make
the necessary arrangements for the meeting.
Exeter Times-Advocate reports that despite the finding
by the Department of Transport in two surveys, the Exeter
-Council gave approval in principle for a plan to install traffic
lights this year at the corner of Main and Sanders Streets.
Total cost of the project is expected to be around $4,500
although a definite figure will be obtained before any work.

Mr . and Mrs. Alfred Fry of Auburn marked their
fiftieth wedding anniversary at a family dinner, according
to the Kincardine News, which was followed by open house
at the Reid's Corners Community Hall on Saturday. The
couple were married in Kincardine on September 6th, 1921.
' The Mitchell Advocate reports that Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Raycraft of Monkton, celebrated their 40th wedding anniver-
sary with a family gathering at'the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Van Stavell, Newton. A dinner was served in their
honor and was complete with a decorated anniversary
cake. The couple, married in 1931, have a family of nine
daughters and six sons. There are 33 grandchildren.
Mr. and• Mrs. Albert Walsh, according to the Blyth
Standard, who are patients in Clinton Hospital, observed
their 59th wedding anniversary on Saturday, September
11th.
A report in the Clinton News-Record reminds the sports
minded that the hockey season is just around the corner.
The Clintonlilinor Hockey Association is holding a meeting
at the Community Centre, Monday at 9 P.M. for all interested
