Given in' marriage by her
father, the bride wore a long
sleeved gown of white peau de
sole -v-ilth -efripire- vraistline and -
white satin ribbon was threaded
through eyelet lace trimming the
high collar. Heavy lace trimmed
the full train. Her veil was held
by a cluster of lace petals and
seed pearls. She carried a
cascade of pink sweetheart roses
and white daisies highlighted by
fern and pink satin ribbon.

William Vidler,' regional as-
sessment commissioner for the
Huron-Perth assessment area, is
moving to the Landon area office
the .commercial and industrial
co-ordination section, it was an-
noiinced as week.
His replacement in the
Goderich office will be Barry
Eastwood of Brockville. The
changes became effective Sept.
1st.
Before coming to Goderich
two years ago when the regional
office was - established in
Goderich, Mr. Vidler held suc-
cessive posts as assessment
commissioner NT St. Thomas and
Elgin County.

highlighted by fern and pink satin
ribbon.

the groomsman and the guests
were ushered by Larry Badley
of Walton and John Munro, Sea-
forth.
A dance and a smorgasbord
were held at Seaforth Legion Hall
after the wedding.
For the wedding trip to
Swift Current, Saskatchewarc the-
bride travelled in,a multi-colored
hot pants suit.
The couple will reside in
Brodhagen.
Guests were present from
Sarnia, Owen Sound, Williams-
ford, Hcilland Centre, Berkeley,
South Porcupine, Trenton,
Hensall, Waterloo, Seaforth,
Toronto, Brodhagen, Galt, Blyth,
and Douglas Point.
Prior to the wedding the bride
was honoured with two showers.-
One was given at' the home of
"Miss Brenda Hodge, attended by
friends and classmates of 11C-
1971. The other in the home of
Mrs. Peter Malcolm attended by
neighbours,friends and
• relatives.

gladioli and mums were placed
on the altar: Wedding music was
provided by Mrs. Pa-U.161a Metd--
Inger.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose Swiss
embroidered organza for her
floor-length A-line gown with an
Empire waist. A flowing train
was attached at the waist. A
two-tiered crown of miniature
pearls held her shoulder length
veil and. she tarred a bouquet
of pink roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Marilyn Durand, sister
of the bride, of RR :3, Bayfield,
was matron of honor. Mrs. Sharon
Rau of Zurich, Mrs. Lynne Bock-
enstette of Detroit, Mrs. Carol
Baker of Stratford and Miss
Sandra Baker of Dashwood were
bridesmaids. Miss Bonnie Baker,
Stratford Was flower girl. They
wore A-line gowns of intermit-
tent pink and floral stripes
trimmed with pink velvet rib-
bon around ',the neckline, waist
and hem. Pink miniature carna-
tions were worn in their hair and
they carried ,.colonial bouquets
of pink carnations and white
mums.
Ronald Mason of Dashwood
was groomsman. Dave Durand,
Bayfield, Anthony ' Regier,
Detroit, Ken Baker, Stratford
and Gary" Baker, Dashwood
ushered the guests.
The bride's mother received

St. Joseph's Roman Catholic
Church, Clinton, was the setting
for the marriage of Kathleen Ann
Clifton of New Dundee and
°Richard Dennis LeBeau of Kit-
chener on August 14, 1971, at
3:30 p.m. Rev. J. E. Kelly
officiated. The church was de-
corated with baskets of purple
mums"and white gladiolas.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr: J. George Clifton, Brucefield
and the late Mrs. Leona Clifton;
and the groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Maxim LeBeau
of R. R. 1, Brucefield.
Given_ Ili_ maxriage y her
father, the bride wore a formal
gown of white faille fashioned
with a scooped neckline, long
sleeves and sheath skirt. French
alencon lace accented the bodice
and neckline. A large cathedral
train edged with matching lace
cascaded from the high rise
waistline. A rose headpiece
held her shoulder , length veil.
She carried a beriquet of pink
sweetheart roses and stephanotis
centered by a mauve orchid.
Mrs. Donna Stirling, Bruce-
field, was matron of honor for
her sister, in a petal pink chiffon
with high Empire waist, sleeve-
less, with a tucked and ruffled
bib on the bodice and full skirt
falling from the high waist. She
wore purplereiniature carnations
in her hair and carried a bouciet
of .purple• miniature carnations.
:The. bridesmaid4;' dressed in
lilac gowns styled similar to the
maid of honor were Mrs. Grace
Coleman, Seaforth, sister of the
bride; Mrs. Jayne LeBeau, New
Dundee, sister-in-law of the
groom and Miss Judy Schell,

Exeter, friend of the bride.
Junior bridesmaid was. Janice
Webster, Varna. They wore pink
miniature carnations In their hair
and carried bouquets of pink
miniature carnations. Jeffery
LeBeau was ringbearer.
Larry LeBeau of New Dundee
was groomsman and guests were
ushered by wayne Stirling,
Brucefield; Dean Reid, Clinton,
and Peter LeBeau, Brucefield.
The organist Mrs. Fred Mc-
Gregor, Brucefield, accompanied •
the soloist Mrs. Robert LeBeau
of Brucefield when she sang • The

Maria".
The reception was held In the'
Legion Hall, Seaforth. The
groarri's mother wore a matching
lace dress and coat of melon with
white accessories and a corsage
of white gardenias.
For travelling the bride
donned a mauve two piece crepe
pantsuit and black accessories.
A corsage of miniature carna-
tions and baby carnations in her
hair completed her outfit.
The couple will reside in
Kitchener, Ontario. Guests were
present from Kitchener, Toronto,
Lindspi, Exeter, Goderich, New
Dundee, and Port Elgin.
Prior to her Wedding the bride
was honored at two showers. Mrs.

sleeves and collar. She wore a

reception was held at the Dash-
wood Community Centre. Master
of • Ceremonies was Mr. Larry
Mason.
The bride wore- a navy and.
white pant dress with red shoes
and matching accessories for
a wedding trip to Northern Mich-
igan and Ontario. They will reside
in Shipka.
Guests from Detroit, London,
Seaforth, North Bay, Windsor,
Bayfield, Exeter and Zurich
attended the event.
Prior to her wedding the
bride was given showers by
Mrs. James Bathgate, aunt; Mrs.
Lynne Bockenstette, co-worker;
Mrs. Dave Durand, sister of the
bride; Mrs. Sharon Rau, cousin;
Mrs. Carol Baker , groom's
sister-in-law and Miss Sandra
Baker, groom's sister.

The president of the Midwest-
ern Ontario Regional Develop-
ment Cbuncil said Friday a
speech made by Provincial
Treasurer Darcy McKeough
shows the provincial government
is learning from the experiences
of regional development councils.
The minister suggested a change,
from the approach adopted by
Huron MPP Charles McNaughton
when the development program
was his responsibility as Provin-
cial Treasurer. Mr. McNaughton
now is Minister of Highways and
TranSport.
James C. Hayter was corn-.
menting on a speech made by
Mr. McKeough atebthe 73rd an-
nual convention of the Ontario
Municip0.1 Association held in
Toronto last week in which the
provincial treasurer said, "Gov-
ernment through its regional de-
velopment program is commit-
ted to ,the co-ordination and
direction of programs and ex-
penditures on a regional basis
through rational planning,"

The president of MORDC said
government has admitted it can-
not treat all regions equally and
a new approach must be taken
with this 'consideration in mind.
Mr. Hayter said he agreed
with the • minister's statement
regarding '-the possibility of
change" in replacing the pres-
ent system with one ""of need,
priority and merit," considering
individual councils in each of the
10 economic regions of Ontario.
Mr. Hayter, a former warden
of Huron County, said he also
agreed with another of Mr. Mc-
Keough's key statements.
The minister said, "There
must be e body, other than gov-
ernment, to bring together all
interested and concerned people
and organizations and to convey
to government a regional view-
point."
Design for Development -
Oase Analysis for the Mid-
western Ontario Region, covering
the counties of Huron, Perth,
Waterloo and Wellington was re-
leased in July, 1970. At that
time, the government Indicated
a three-month deadline for re-
plies to the phase I. Following
a series of meetings across the
four counties concerned, com-
ments on the report have been in
process of preparation. This
submission to the Provincial
Government is expected to go for-
ward shortly.
