In July fifty-three a baby came
And Mary was chosen to be her
name
Reg and Helen were a very proud
pair
For their baby Mary was tothem
so fair., •
A baby Mary didn't stay too long
For she seemed ' to grow
so straight'and strong
As a wee little girl she did play
But a little girl she was not to
stay.
T6 St. James Separate School
she was sent
Where many a day at • learning
she spent ,
Then to Seaforth High she did
advance
For -more learning -she wanted
a chance.
But life goes on and so did Mary
To herself she thought "I should
.not tarry"
I must look for a mate to spend
my life.
She said to herself "I'll make a
good wife".
so one day to Stratford Mary did
go
She thought she would like to see
a show.
But meantime a tall
dark
stranger appeared.
Her thoughts of a show soon
disappeared.
Mary decided to find odt,Icti her._
own .
This tail "balk strallgeft name
, and where..he called home.
Successful she Was she found
out, KS name - '
And from Stratford Keith Knech-
tel came.
As you know "Cupid" has a way
of working things out
And it wasn't too long till "Keith
'asked her out.
It wasn't long till "Cupids' arrow
did strike"
For Keith asked Mary to be his
wife. •
I'm ,stire Keith could tell what
heranswer would be
For her eyes were shining as he
could see
".You Bet I will" was the answer
he got
As in Mary's life Keitlfs been a
bright spot.

WE SHALL REMEMBEH
THEM
By the •end of World War 1,
the casualty list for the Canadian
Corps had reached 216,146 and
the total number of dead was
57,258. Was their sacrifice
worthwhile? ' I believe so, as
they set an example for the
younger generation of that time -
an example that was to characte-
rize the Canadian soldier in
World War II.
It is interesting to note that ;1.i,
pLL 47- SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, SAVE SAVE SA -the highest decoration for valour.
