the Rev. Donald R. Beck' to of-
ficially mark the beginning of,
his duties. as Minister of the
Hensall-Chiselhurst Pastoral
Charge. Mr. Beck was inducted
by Rev. ,Bruce Guy of Dashwood
who also conducted the service.
The sermon, addressed to
both incoming minister and con-
gregation was preached by Rev.
Robert Raymont oil, North Street
United Church, Goderich.

In the South Huron Agricultural
Society's Spring Fair is always
the Hensall Calf Club Show and
Auction.
This year's show saw more
than 60 entries from area young
people in the Various call club
classes. The auction which fol-
lowed the competition saw 96
cattle sold to packers throughout
the province.
Robert McGregor's Grand
Champion Calf was sold to
Darling's I.G.A., Exeter for 41e
perepound. Robert's cousin, Mur-
ray McGregor, raised the
Reserve Champion Calf which
sold to Joe Merner for 38e per
pound. Both the McGregors live
in the Kippen area.

Rev. Harold Currie, who has
been Minister of Hensall and
Chiselhurst United Church for
nine years and has accepted 'a
call to Sebringville 'United
Church, together with his wife
and family, were honored at a
farewell special Sunday Service
Sunday morning at •Hensall Uni-
ted Church as a farewell trib-
ute for their devotion to the
church, The Rev. Clifford Waite,
D.F,C., B.D., D.D., of Simcoe,
a close friend of the Currie's
was a guest minister.
Representing the congrega-
tions, Walter Spencer for the
Hensall U.C. read the presenta-
tion address, and Ross Kercher,
for Chiselhurst United Church
presented Rev. and Mrs. Currie
with a purse of money.
Laverne Harourn, 22, had the
misfortune to suffer a fall while
roller skating at Palmerston
fracturing his right leg in four
places • It will be in a cast
for three months. Son of Mrs.
Frank Harburn, he is resting at
his home.

by air on Monday to vacation for

have returned from a trip through
Northern Ontario, where they
visited relatives at Thunder Bay.

annual Bolton-Ford reunion got
underway at the Soldan farm,
Hay Township.
Carolyn Spellman Fedy was
mistress of ceremonies and
called ,on her father, Dr. J. A.
Spellman of Kitchener to address
the group at which time he intro-
duced the special guests of the
day - Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pardo
of Grants Pass, Oregon and Mr.
and Mrs. HaroldHocking of Hast-
ings, Nebraska. On thanking the
host and hostess, John and Vic-
toria Solden, he called on the
younger' generation for their sup-
port and 'interest to make this
annual event permanefit.
Ref erring, to one who had mde
good in the business• and finan-
cial world he expressed app ec-
lation to Edward T. Berry for
favours done. A letter was read
by Victoria Soldan expressing
his regrets on having to be ab-

was recently appointed as super-

Mrs. Becker and her husband
have converted space in the rear
of the store into a library room
and' have made it most inviting
with new panelling, ceiling tile
and shelving: Huron County
Library siaff spent a day moving
the books to the new location and
setting the library up for

Library borrowers will now
be able to get their reading any
time during store hours rather
than during the three hours per
week during Which the library
previouslyhad been held open by
the county library system.
