Huron-Bruce, has announced the
approval of a provincial grant in
the amount of $21,000.00 to the
Maitland .Valley Conservation
Authority .to carry out further
development work in the Falls
Reserve' Conservation Area.
The Falls Reserve Conser-
vation Area-Mnpriler-surne-2S9-
acres of land located to the west
of the Village of Benmiller, in
the Township of Colborne
in Huron. was. acquired by
the Authority in 1964.
Development work carried out
in the area has included • con-
struction of a campground;ser-
vice building, a concession build-
ing, picnic shelter, a campground
and service road.
The Authority is proposing tb,
proceed-with-cbnstrncttbn-of a
maintenance building. storage
building, service road and park-
ing area, construction of a ,small
dam and pond, development of
Hymn 264 was sung and Mrs.
Riley introduced the guest
speaker, Mrs. Britton, who spoke
of her experiences as a little
girl coming from Scotland and
settling with her parents in West-
ern Canada. Mrs. Riley thanked '
her and Mrs. Britton was pre-
sented with a gift.
Unit 2 were guests at the
meeting. Lunch was 'served by
Mrs. Bill McClure, Mrs. Doug.
Shroeder, Mrs. Ken Thompson
and Mrs. Donald Dodds. The
next meeting will be held in
September at the home of Mrs.
William McClure.
Mr. and Mrs. William Church
went by air to England Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Embling,
Brampton visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Blanchard.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nostadt,
,Maidstone, visited recently with
Mr. and Mrs. Gene St. Louis.

Mr. Jack Fuleher of the Huron School
of Driving tells that the top girl and boy
student drivers of the High School learn-
to-drive program, were Jeanette Riley
And Douglas Wise. The CFB Auxiliary,
Clinton, sent a donation of $77.59 to help
towards furnishings of the new Solarium.
These were the remaining funds of Auxil-
iary as it prepares to leave, the station. '-
In the top winners of the baby show at
the recent Clinton Spring Fair was Terry
Gray, son of Mr. and- Mrs. Gary Gray,
Seaforth who won third prize.

Marys that the sewage contract has been
let, subject to OWRC approval, the total
amount being over $3.5 million. Mrs.
Bettridge was honored recently on the '
occasion of her 90th birthday. She re-
ceived a special Apostolic Blessing from
His Holiness Pope Paul VI. _and congrat-
ulations from G. Emmett Carter, Bishop
of London, on a long and faithful life. Mr.
and Mrs. James McFarlane celebrated
their 65th wedding. anniversary with a
family dinner at Pinecrest Inn, St.Marys.

birthday for "their grand old lady" Mrs.
Louisa (John) Klein. She is 103. Mrs.

her son. and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. William Klien, Mitchell: Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Eisler were honored on
the occasion of their' 40th wedding anniv-
ersary.

Huron and on moving to Hayfield, gave
their dog to friends living in Seaforth.
One morning the past week when Mr.
Janisse, the new owner of the Fox home,
went out to go work, there was the

they say, but you can be certain that was
some walk for any dog. Mr. and Mrs.
Wilfred Anderson of Lucknow observed
their 40th wedding anniversary recently. .

evening to honor Mr. Lloyd King, ,who
will retire from the Canadian Imperial

the "U.C.W.,.of Cavan. Church was
held at the home of Mrs. William
Dolmage', Mrs. Bob Dalton open-
ed the meeting with a reading on
"Faith" followed by prayer..
"Faith of Our Fathers" was sung,
Minutes were read by Mrs. Ken
Thompson.
Misses-Velma and Vera Heist
were presented with cups and
Saucers from the Unit and these
were delivered by Mrs. William
Dodds. Mrs. Oscar Cuthill had
the topic for the evening. She
chose ' Relationships" an article
written. by John W. Foster.
The June meeting was held
in the basement of the church
with Mrs. Robert Dalton pre-
siding and opened the meeting
with a Bible reading. Mrs.
Frank Riley gave a reading
