for the June meeting' of the Wom-
en's Missionary Society of Crom -
arty Presbyterian Church. Mrs.
Charles Douglas presided,. open-
ing the meeting -with poem sel-
ections. Hymn 399; Scripture and
prayer. The roll call "Worship"
was answered by twelve mem-
bers. Mrs. T. L. Scott read the
minutes of the May meeting.
During the business period, con-
ducted by Mrs. Mervin Dow, it
was announced that Mrs. Norman
Coulthard of St. Pauls would
be Presbyterial visitor on Oct-
ober 14th. An invitation from
Hensel' W,M,S. to attend a
meeting there was accepted. The
offering was received and the
treasurer gave her report. Mrs.
J. R. Jefferson conducted the
Bible Study. Mrs. Mervin Dow
gave highlights of the June
Conference which was held in
Caven church, Exeter on June
2nd. The Study Book lesson "On
the Wings of Christian Litera-
ture" was presented by Mrs.
T. L. Scott, assisted by Mrs.
Lamond, Miss • Olive Speare,
Mrs.• M. Dow, Mrs. C. McKaig,
Mrs. Grace Scott and Mrs. K.
McKellar.
Mrs. Calder McKaig reported
34 cards and visits to the sick.
Current events were 'iven by
Mrs. Verna Brooks. The hostess
was assisted by Mrs. Sam
McCurdy in serving.

spoke on the subject of ""Should
the Church be involved in the
issues of our day?"

thanked Mr. McDonald and pre-
sented him with a gift.
Mrs. Axtmann and Mrs.-Gin
Smith led in a hymn sing.
Mr. McDonald, pronounced the
benediction and a bake sale was
held at the close of the meeting.
4-H Girls
The 4-H girls from here that
attended the '4-H Achievement
Day at Seaforth High School Sat-
urday were Brenda and Elizab-
eth Pryce, Mary and Nancy Van
Dooren, Mary Blockeel, Sandra
Hulley, Debbie.,. McClure and
Linda, Barbara and SylviaSmith.

on "Bazaar Ideas". MissSmith
gave the treasurer's report; Mrs.
James Rose reported on visitat-
ions and Mrs. Kenneth Smith told
of cards and treats sent to sick
and bereaved members of the
congregation.
Baptismal service will be
held on Sunday, June 13th. On
June 20th a Chinese Youth Group
from the Chinese United Church,
Toronto, will; attend service in
Egmondville and the minister,
Rev. Kam-Yan Ng, B. Sc., B.A.,
will preach. The Egmondville
Youth Group had previously visi-
ted the Chinese. Church. Lunch
by the U.C.W. and a social time
will follow the service,
June 27 will be Congregat-
ional Picnic Sunday with picnic
lunch to, be 'served following
church service. The Hi-C and
Youth Group will be in charge of
games with the Sunday School to
provide the prizes. Tlie U.C.W.
will be in charge of refreshments
for, the lunch.
