to attend the June 7 meeting and
social evening of II:Ironic Lodge,
Clinton at the regular meeting of
' A Edelweiss Rebekah Lodge with
Mrs. Lillian Grummett pre-
siding.
Several past noble grands in-
dicate they plan to go to Ontario
Place, Toronto.. by bus on May
26. The outing, is being arranged
by Mrs. Geraleit4cFalls, Exeter,
for all six lodges in Huron Dis-trict.
Members have iieen asked to
hold a memorial service for all
deceased members of the Order
throughout Ontario, early in June.

. ERNEST HENRY EPPS
A resident of the Clinton area
for nearly seventy years, Ernest
Henry Epps died in Clinton Pub-
c—FRispitai on Monday. He was
in his 96th year.
Mr. Epps was borr, in Cath-
cart, Ontario. A blacksmith by
trade, he came to the area in
1903. Until recently he had assis-
ted his son, Elwood Epps In his
sporting goods 'business.
His wifallit e former Elizabeth
Winegardeia,,Jto whom he was
married in 1897, predeceased
him in 1963. He Is survived
by a daughter , Eva Mae, Mrs.
Melvin Clarke, Seaforth and two
sons, Lorne, London and Ellwood,
Clinton. He is also• survived by
a sister Etta, Mrs. Edward Crich
Welland. He was a member of
Wesley Willie United ChUrch,
Clinton.
Funeral services, conducted
by Rev. A. J. Mowatt were held
from the Beattie , funeral home
Clinton on Wednesday. Interment
followed in Fairfield Plains cem-
etery, Burford. Pallbearers were
John Smith, Elliott Clarke,
George Wise, Henry Crich, Steve
SMith and George Campbell.
Flowerbearers were Danny Wise,
Robbie Wise and Gerald Smith.
' SAMUEL M, PETHICK
Samuel M. Pahick, 92, of
Winthrop, died in Seaforth Corn-
munity Hospital early Wednesday
after an illness of three weeks.
He, was born, in' McKillop, a
son of the late Richard Pethick
and Annie McFadden.
wife, the former Lucy
Blanchard, to whom, he was mar-
ried- at Winthrop In 1904 pre-
deceased-him In 1948.
He is survived by three
daughters, Mrs. Roy (Mabel) Pa-
trick of McKillop; Mrs. Ray
(Margaret) Little of St. Cath-
arines; Mrs. Alvin (Blanche)
Stevens of Londesboro; one son
Harold W. of Seaforth; two
sisters and two brothers, a/hi s.
, William (Mary •AniTerMiller Of
Seaforth and Mrs. Joseph (Annie)
Deane of London; Thonies of Lon-
don and John R. of Winthrop,
10 grandchildren and 14 great
grandchildren. -
A long time farmer in McKil-
lop he retired in 1948. He was
a member of the Winthrop
Orange Lodge.
The body was at the R.S.
Box funeral home where funeral
service was held Friday at 2
p.m. conducted by Rev. J.C.
Britton with burial in Maitland-
bank cemetery,. Seaforth. Pall-
bearers were Donald McClure,
Glen MCCIUre, Harvey Dolmage,
Leslie Dolmage, George Pethick,
and William Miller. Flower-
bearers were Keith Pethick,
Andrew Patrick, Douglas Little,
and Oscar Cuthill. •
MRS FRANK SILLS
The death occurred on
Monday, May 17th of Mrs. Frank
Sills Sr. (nee Dorothy Agnes
Daly) in her 89th year.
She was born in Blyth, Dec.13,
1882, the youngest daughter of
M r. -and Mrs. Thomas Daly, well
known residents of Egmondville
and Seaforth. After a year in
Blyth the family returned to
Egmondville -where Mrs. Sills
was raised. She attended the
Egmondville -Public School and
Seaforth Collegiate. For a
short time she worked with her
brother John F. Daly' in the
,Iewelery business before marry-
ing Francis S. Sills on Vilne 9,
1909. She was Oredeceased by her
husband in 1966.
Through her years in
Seaforth, Mrs. Sills has been
prominent in:the life of the com-
munity, taking part in many
associations, She was a charter
member of the St. James Catholic
Womens League being one of
'their presidents. Interested in
sports, she was an ardent golfer
and a member of the Lawn Bowl-
ing Club., As an accomplished
musician she was also active in
Musical circles anea member
of the St. James choir for many
years.
Mrs. Sills is survived by her
family, a daughter, Mrs. Henry
(Mona) Enzensbergerh of Goder-
ich, 3 sons, G. D'Orlean of"Sea-
forth, Thomas D., of White
-Roak, B.C.,--and—Fran s C.
of Seaforth, as well as by 13
grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren.
Mrs. Sills will rest in the
R. S. Box Funeral Home until
Thursday morning with the
Funeral Mass in St. James
Church at 11 A.M. Interment
will follow in St. James Ceme-
tery. Prayers Wednesday
evening.
MRS. KEN RITCHIE
Mrs. W. Kenneth Ritchie, 55,
of EgmOndville, died in the Sea-
forth Community hospital Sat-
urday after an illness df three
months.
She was the former Edith
Frances Ennis, daughter of the-
late Mr, and Mrs. Fred Ennis
of Brussels. She was married
in Walton in 1946 to Kenneth
Ritchie who survives:
She is also survived by one
son, Larry D. of Egmo.ndville;
two brothers, Douglas of Walton
and Cosby. of London; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Alex (Mary) Kelly
of Nobleton and Mrs. Ross (Anne)
Cunningham of Ethel.
The body was at the R.S.
Box funeral home where the
service was held in the chapel
Tuesday .at 2 • p.M., conducted
by Rev. T: E. Hancock. Inter-
ment was in Brussels cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Eis-
ler, Ross Bennett, Elmer Moore,
William Miller, Ernest Toll and
Ken MacLeod. Flowerbearers
were Rick Cunningham, Keith
Lyddiatt, Hartman Musser and
Robert Smith.
AMBROSE ADDLEY
Ambrose Addley, 70, RR 2
Seaforth, died in Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital, Thursday.
He was born in St. Thomas,
and married in 1904 tone former
Stella Laframbbis, who survives.
A machinist by trade in recent
years he operated a market
garden. He had been a resident of.
the area since 1954.
Also surviving are one son,
Kenneth , Richmond Hill; three
sisters, Mrs. Anna Chapple,
.Shedden; Mrs. Charles Lee and
Mrs. Bessie Sirn, both of Lon-
don; five brothers, Leonard, St.
Thomas; Joseph, Shedden; Peter,
Mount Brydges; Lawrence, Lon-
don, and William, Elginfield, and
two grandchildren.
The body was at the G. A.
Whitney funeral home, Seaforth,
until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, when
removal was made to St. James'
Roman Catholic Church for
ftineral Mass at 10 a.m.,
condticted by Rev. H. J. Laragh.
Burial was inSt. James' cem-
etery, Seaforth.

MRS. ANTONE SIEMON
Mrs. Antone Siemon, R.R. 4,
Walton, died in Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital Sunday following
a lengthy iliness.
The former ,Christina R.
Eisler, she Was born. in Manitoba
on July 13,-1904, daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Eisler.
On May 16, 1932 she married
Antone Siemon, and the couple
farmed in McKillop Township ,
She was a member of St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, Brod-
hagen.
Besides her husband, she Is
survived by daughters, Mrs. Ken-
neth (Doris) Carnoc han, Seaforth;
Mrs. Robert (Rose). Robinson,
Walton, and Mrs. Jerry (Grace)
Davis, Vancouver; brothers, John
and ,Fred of Souris, Manitoba; a
sister, Mrs. Clarence (Carrie)
Regale of Seaforth; also- nine
grandchildren.
The body' was at the Lock• -
hart funeral home, Mitchell, until
,noon Tuesday when removal was
made to ' St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Brodhagen, for funeral
service at 2:30 p.m. conducted
by Rev. Paul Napp'es.

were visiting with Mr. and Mrs.
Fergus Stapleton.
Mrs. Ed. Stapleton is a pat-
ient in the Seaforth Community
Hospital with a broken arm.
Mrs. Lorne Feeney is a pat-
ient in the*Seaforth Community
Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. George Coyne
spent the weekend at their-trailer
in Bayfield.
Mrs. James Krauskopf, RR
#1, Dublin is a patient in the
Seaforth Community Hospital.

at their cottage at Lions Head.

weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Cronin and family and other
members of the Cronin family.
The St. John's Amin:lance will
conduct free, two hour classes
in artificial respiration at Dublin
on June 1, 1971. at 8:00 o'clock
in the St. Patrick's school, if
enough people are interested in
taking the classes. The classes
are designed to save' life by
teaching the lifesaving resusci-
tation techniques to everyone
over the age of ten.
