Two boys soccer teams are en- tered' in the Stratford City Soccer League. These boys are from the St. Columban - Dublin area and range in age from 9 - 12 years of age. The coaches for these teams are F D. Rowland and Jim Vonk. Ed. Rowland's team played against St. Michael's School boys at the North Western field in Stratford on Tuesday night and the score was a 3 -3 tie. • A third team ranging from ages 13 -15 coached by Ron Mur- ray is also entered in the Strat- ford City League. The series will last itetil the school term . is out at the end of June. The Athletic Association is also organizing their girls soft- ball team,s again for girls in the area from the age 10 - 15. Girls interested are to contact any of the following four ladies: Nies. Jim Delaney, Mrs. Joe Dor- sey, Mrs. Bill O'Rourke or Mrs. Dave Brown. Plans were made for the annual penny Sale, The articles are to be in by May 16th and will • be on display in the parish hall on May t23rd and May, 30th. and will be in Seaforth in the mean- time during 'the week of May 23rd. The draw will take place in St. Columban parish hall on Monday, May 31st. plans for the celebration of the formation of the Catholic Women's League in St. Columban were also discussed. On June 6 a' High Mass will be offered - and a dinner for the members will be ,served in the parish hall by the lady caterers from Hrodhagen. A guest speaker will speak at the dinner. A gift was presented to the -Past President, Mrs. Ray Mur- ray by the President, Mrs. Dominic Murray. The meeting" adjourned and closed with prayer by Father Oostveen.
