Mrs. John Templeman
ELDON BEACH
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cam-
eron, Bill and Mary of Staffa
Were in Cannington, Ontario on
Saturday attending the funeral
of Mrs. Cameron's father, the
late Eldon Beach. The funeral
was held at 2 P.M. at the Norris
Funeral Home in Cannington and
burial was in the Hart Memorial
Mausoleum at Cedar ValLe Cem-
etery.
Mr. Beach taught school for
45 years, including 5 years in
Ktpburn, principal of the Can-
ningtonGpntinuation School for
30 yearsLand assistant princ-
ipal of Brock District High
School for 10 years. Born in
Lynn, Ontario, he was the son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
Beach.
He' is survived by his wife,
the former Lemaine Sturgeon,
to whom he was married in
1920, and six children Douglas
of San Francisco, Cal.; Errol
of Toronto; Robert of Oshawa;
Mrs. Lloyd (Rhea) Cameron,
RR 2 Staffa; Mrs. Harvey Mc-
Laughlin (Laureen) of Canning-
ton and Mrs. Roy (Myrla) Wil- •
son of RR 2 Woodville and 19
granchildren. A sister, Mrs.
Elida Edgar of Brpckyille also
survives.
Darlene Templeman, Wat-
erloo, Rob Templeman, Guelph
spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. John Templeman and fami-
ily.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Norris
and family visited'Saturday with
Mr. and Mrs. John Burleigh and
family, Goderich.

The Dublin St. Patrick's
Parish Mission Council held S.
St. Patricks Day Euchre on Wed-
nesday, March 17 in the Church
Hall with all proceeds going to
the Missions. There were 16
tables of cards and $116 was
collected at the door.
Mr. andMrs. John Joynt and
son, Hensall were visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Klinkham-
mer on Sunday.
Miss Theresa Ryan,' London
was visiting with 'her mother,
Mrs. Patrick Ryan, Sr. and Alice
on the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans and
family, Niagara Falls werevisit-
ing with Mrs. Frank • Evans.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Looby
have returned from a two week
vacation in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Clare Oldham
and Bradley, London were visit-
ing with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cronin
and family on the weekend.
Mr. and MrS. Patrick Woods

the weekend with Mr. Ferg Horan.
Miss Linda Friend, Kitchener
was spending a few days with Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Friend.

spending a few days with their
sisters, Maureen and , Marion in
London during the school holt-
day.

Mrs. Bev Taylor was hostess
for the March• meeting of the
Marian Ritchie Auxiliary meet-
ing.
Mrs. Taylor, presided and
assisted Mrs. Frank Hamilton,
who led in 'devotions. Mrs. Ivan
Norris \vat pianist for the meet-
ing. The roll call was answered
with an Easter verse. The Topic
was given by MrS. Larry Gard-
iner. The Study Book lesson from
• Mass Media was presented by
Mrs. Carter Kerslake, assisted
by Mrs. Lorne Elliott and Mrs.
Gerald Carey. Business was con-
conducled by the president, nrs.
Carey. A quiz on Easter Cus-
toms was •conducted by Mrs.
Gordon Scott.
• WOMEN'S MISSIONARY
SOCIETY
Mrs. T. L. Scott was hostess
for the March meeting of the
Women's Missionary Society of
Cromarty church. Miss Olive
Speare presided, opening the
meeting with a Call to Worship
and prayer. The Scripture pas-'
sage from Acts 2:36-47 was reaa
in unison. Mrs. M. Lamond was
leader of the Bible Study with
Mrs. Calder McKaig, Mrs.. T.
L. Suitt, Miss Olive Speare,
and Mrs. Mervin Dow assist-
ing. The Study Book from Media
in Mission was presented by
Mrs. S. McCurdy. Routine re-
ports were given by the secre-
tary and the treasurer. Mrs.
Calder McKaig reported 15 cards
sent to- the sick. Business was
conducted by the president Mrs.
M. Dow.
At the Easter • meeting on
April 8th, a pot luck dinner
will be served at 12:30 p.m. with
the regular meeting following.
Members of the Marian Ritchie
Auxiliary and Home Helpers are
invited as guests. Mrs'. Grace
Scott led in prayers -as asked
in Glad Tidings. Each member
gave current events and Mrs.
T, L. Scott read extracts from
a letter from her son, David,
'who is a teacher in Sarawak.
Miss Spear-6 closed the meet-
ing, with prayer. Mrs. Dow
assisted the hostess at the lunch
hour. ,
Mr. and Mrs. Everard Kers-
lake attended Review Day at
Ridgetown Agricultural College
on Thursday and visited with their
nepheW, Mr. Hughie McCaughey,
who is a student there. They
also visited with their daughter
Bonnie, who is a student at West-
ern University, London,
Miss Frances Scott, London
spent, the weekend with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scott,
Mr. Ernest Luxton of Exeter
visited on Monday with Mr. and
Mrs. Calder McKaig.
Mr. and Mrs. George Vivian
and children of R.R„ Staffa visit-
eak on Friday evening with Mr.
and Mrs.-K. McKellar.
Mr. Alec Scott was home
from Guelph for the weekend.

The Staffa Women's Institute
held a dessert euchre in Staffa
township hal! on Wednesday of
last week with Circle 3 in pharge
of the afternoon. There were 20
tables in play with prizes awarded
to: Ladies' high, MT's. Doupe,
Kirkton, Mrs. Riley, Hensall;-
Lone hands, Mrs. Christie,
Cromaity; Nearest birthday,
Mrs. Elliott, Mitchell; Lucky
