Seaforth Lawn Bowling ladies
was held at the home of Mrs.
Ab_. Whitney Tuesday evening,
Four 'tables of euchre Were in
play and two of bridge. Winners
were Miss Glad Thompson for
bridge and the prize was dons
ted by Donna Patterson. High
lady for 'the euchre was Verda
Sinclair, the prize being dona-
ted by Alice Reid. Courtesy
remarks were given by, Janet
Ford to Mrs. Whitney for the
party. Lunch was served by the
hostess and committee of Verda
Sinclair and Pat Bennett. Th9
next meeting will be 'on -April
20th at the home of Mrs. Wil-
mer Broadfoot. The'- secretary
asked if any who have not paid
their fees yet, please do so
so she can balance the-books
for the year's end. The club
extends gookd wishes for a speedy
recovery to' Mrs. Gertie Wright
who is in the hbspital at the
present time.

Mrs. Joyce Foster of
Bramalea, granddaughter of
Robert Thomson, Kippen, has
been appointed to the educational
curriculum council. In awarding
her this office the appointment
said ',because of excellent con-
tribution in her field (music).
In addition to this she has been
appointed to conduct and teach
the only senior public school,
orchestra In Peel County. With
over $5,000 worth of instruments
Mrs. Foster said she considers
it a real challenge to both her
and her students.

on their 25th Wedding
Anniversary' ,by their family and
relatives.
A turkey dinner was served
followed by an evening of playing
cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Meldinger were
presented with a number of gifts
from their relatives. Their
family of five sons, three daugh-
ters presented them with a
freezer. •

were conveners for an enjoyable

Orange Hall. The LOBA ladies
served a beef dinner.
Mrs. W. E. Butt drew applause
when she sang some good old
fashioned Irish sizings accompan-
ied by Mrs. John McGregor at
the piano.
Mrs. Arnold Taylor con-
ducted a Mr, and Mrs. contest,
with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Doig,
Mr. and Mrs. James Keyes and
Mr. and Mrs. Gordan Dapple as
contestants. All knew their part-
ners well and all received first
prizes.
The remainder of the evening
was spent playing cards - Mrs.
Jas. Keyes won the travelling
prize; Mrs.,Reta Orr, Ladies
High; Mrs. Leonard Strong,
Ladies Low; Jas Keyes won
Men's High and Arnold Taylor,
Men's Low.
Institute members were re-

ing at S.D.H.S. on March 25th.
