Huron-Perth Te and Respir-
Mori' Disease Association will
be represented in Moscow next
summer when the International
Union Against Tuberculosis
meets in Russia.
Mrs. David Schenck, Seaforth
and Mrs. Edith Brothers
announced at a meeting of the
Association in Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital that they planned
to make the trip. Making the trip
at their own expense, the couple
are planning a post conference
tour pf Russia, Europe 'and Great
Britain. Mrs. Schenck said she
planned to record the trip in film
and would have slides available
for showing at area meetings next
fall. ,
At the regular meeting of the
Association, routine reports
were given by Mrs. Edith Fisher,
Education Chairman; Tom
Leiper, Case Finding Chairman;
George Watt, Rehabilitatioji and
Social Service; and Ralph Goren,
Christmas Seal Campaign Chair-
man.
Mrs. .Fisher's report included
the announcement of a Respir-
atory Disease Film Festival Day
in the near future with three
local doctors taking part in the
programme.Mr. Leiper reported
that an industrial lung function
testing programme would begin
in the near future. Mt. Watt
said that regular RD meetings
have been neld in two locations
far the breathing disease sufferer
and that swimming classes for
asthmatic children would begin
in Stratford in the near future.
He also reported, that drugs had
been provided for 10 persons
suffering from some form of
respiratory disease. The Assoc-
iation, since the previous meeting
had assumed V.O.N. charges for
a patient receiving anti-
tuberculous drugs.
Brucefield
Club Meets
Brucefield 2 4tH Clubs met
at the home of Mrs, Emerson
'Coleman.
Officers elected were Presi-
dent - Dianne Baird, Secretary-
Linda Coleman and Press Re-
porter - Rhonda Richardson.
Mrs. Emerson Coleman and
Mrs. George Cantelon are
leaders. A discussion on
colour, style and fabric to suit
each person was held.
CWL. Meets
.The -Catholic Women's League
,of St. James Parish met Tuesday
evening with President Mrs.,John
Maloney opening the meeting with
a Spiritual Reading.
Parish visitors for the month
are Mrs. James Slattery and
Mrs. Joseph McConnell.
Donations to Monsignor Ma-
loney Bursary, Sundale Manor,
Chatham and the Sacred Heart
program are projects for March.
Mrs. Joseph McConnel, Mrs.
John Flannery and Mrs. James
Slattery were named as the
nominating committee to pro-
pose officers for the annual meet-
ing.
Reverend H. Laragh spoke on
the new aspects of t the Mass.
The annual meeting will be
held on April 6th with a pot-
luck supper° preceding.
