Seaforth Junior Farmers held
their 4th annual Broom ball Tour-
nament at the Community Centre
uu Friday and Saturday.
The Friday night program saw
Seaforth boys defeating Perth
boys 3 - 0 while the
girls dripped a close 1 - 0
game to the Perth girls. Welling-
ton and Lambton battled to a
scoreless tie; Wellington Win-
ning with shots on goal. The
final game saw Bruce whipping
Peterborough 7 - 0.
Following the four gamesthe
evening was rounded out with a
hootenany led by Grame Craig.
Teams from Grey, Middlesex,
Peel, Halton, Dufferin and
Waterloo as well as girls teams
from Wellington and Lambton
took part in the Saturday
sehedule.
As the day progressed teams
were eliminated and by 9 o'clock
the three champs were declared.

While the games were being
played 'the King and Queen -com-
petition was taking place. The
contestants were interviewed by
~ylrs.Janet C lopp,George Cull and
Don Bulley , incoming President
of Ontario Junior Farmers.
Saturday evening was the
climax of the tournament with a
dance and the awarding of
trophies. Huron was not left
out in this department with Marie
McClure being all star centre and
Debbie McClure runner up at
left wing. The boys did equally,
as well with George Townsend
being all star right defence and
Paul Patrick runner up for
centre.
