Snow removal costs in Hullett
are twice the amount spent in
1970 council learned at a meeting
on Monday.
The question arose as a dele-
gation attended to question pro-
posed changes in the church hill
at Londesboro. As plans were
not available, council explained
the proposal and indicated no
action was being taken until the
cost of snow removal for the
present season is established.
Cost to date for snow is
approximately $20,000.00 as
compared to last year's cost'of
$10,000.00,
Council agreed to check a
knoll on lot 1 con. 1 that a
delegation said was'eontributing..
to drifting. The delegation dis-
cussed the problem of getting
roads opened.
No action is contemplated as
a result of a request from a
delegation representing the
Huron Federation of Agriculture
for an increased grant. Council
previously had given a grant for
township purposes only.
Council gave final approval
to a by-law providing for con-
struction of the St urdy drain
and agreed to advertise for ten-
ders in connection with the warble
fly program as well as for re-
quired gravel.
A grant of $5 was approved
for the Huron Ploughmans Assoc-
iation. Reeve Hugh Flynn was
named to represent Hullett in
connection with the tanker truck
and Wm. Rodger was named ttr
the Blyth Recreation Committee.
It was agreed that township
officials attending a convention
would be reimbursed $60.
