Seaforth Firemen were called to Egmondville Thursday
night when fire was discovered in the former, Henderson'

The most appalling tribute to
the Great Storms' power was the
toll in human life. Two hundred
and fifty-one men and women lost
their lives. One hundred and
eighty-one of the two hundred and
fifty-one whose lives were lost in
the Great Storm were lost in
rugged Lake Huron , in the
Goderich Area.

blaze until- almost midnight... The fire smoldered in false
ceilings and egg cartons which were stored in the building. No
cause has been found but Fire Chief Jack Scott indicated that
the building was a popular place for children, to play and the
fire may have started as a result of children's activity.

The February meeting of
Elimville Women's Institute was
held Monday afternoon. Dessert's
were served before the meeting,
which all the ladies enjoyed. The
president opened the meeting with
