Township of McKillop Auditor's Report
January 15th, 1971.
The Members of Council, Inhabitants and Ratepayers
of the Corporation oil the Township of McKillop,
We have examined the 1970 financial statement of
the Corporation of the Township of McKillop which are
listed on the attached index. Our examination included a
general review of the accounting procedures and such tests
of accounting records and other suppOrting evidence as we
considered necessary in the circumstances.
In our opinion these financial statements present
fairly the financial position of the COrporation of the Town-
ship of ,McKillop as at December 31st, 1970 and the results
of its operations for the year then ended, in accordance
with accounting principles generally accepted for Ontario
municipalities applied on a basis consistent with' that of _the
preceding year.

Dr. G. P. A. -Evans was guest
speaker at the recent meeting of
Huron Unit of the Canadian
Cancer Society held in Goderich.
He spoke on cigarette smoking
damage and sputum cytology.
Excerpts cleated from the re-
port "Smoking and Health Now"
recently released by the Royal
College of Physicians and Sur-
geons, London, England, showed
that premature deaths and crip-
pling health states are caused by
smoking which has readied an
epidemic state. Sputum cytology
is the microscopic examination of
a small amount of lung material,
namely cells expectorated in
sputum. Cigarette smokers are
urged t o have this test periodic-
ally as a tool in the detection of
cancer.
