Good for admission 'all day and door prizes. r Hockey Da Plans have been completed for thlr yeir's Minor Hockey Day in SeafOrth. Over three hundred boys -(and girls) are expected to participate in the event which is slated far this Saturday in the Com- MUnity Centre. The program gets underway at 8 A.M., Saturday and continues throughout the day -and into the evening. The event is sponsored by the Seaforth Minor Hockey Assoc- iation and all proceeds will go to defray the expenses of the Minor Hockey,program in'Seaforth. Twelve games are scheduled throughout the day including one which features girls all stars in an exhibition match. The morning activities will consist of regularly scheduled play in the Legion sponsored House League. At 1:00 P.M. Seaforth and Clinton will vie for honours in the ((Mites" class. Teams will:, visit from TOronto to provide opposition for the Bantams and , Midgets in the afternoon. The Bantam game is scheduled for 2:00 with the Midgets following at 3:30. At 5:15 the Novice team will play Blyth followed by the Pee Wees, who also face Blyth at 6:30. Finishing off the program will be the girls' game at 7:30. Following the games, awards will be presented to outstanding individuals and all the particip- ants in the program will be given a light meal. Admission to the Arena will be $1.00 and tickets are available from anyone 'connected with Mrs. Geo: Townsend and Mrs. Wm. Campbell Jr. will appear on CKNX Sing Time on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sutherland of Kitchener and Mr. and. Mrs. Jim Shortreed of Guelph visited with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Pringle over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. John Flannery accompanied by Mary Margaret and James were in Dearborn, Mich. recently attending the funeral of Joseph P. Miller. Mrs. Miller was the former Martha Flannery. McSpadden and Earle 'of PROCLAMATION Town of Seaforth MINOR HOCKEY WEEK IN SEAFORTH • WHEREAS, this week is being observed throughout the Seaforth Area, as a period to focus public attention on the physical, character4building and other benefits of hockey for our youth, add WHEREAS, the game of hockey is recognized as Canada's National Game which teaches our youth to develop a competitive spirit, co-operation with others, body-building, and respect for authority, and • WHEREAS, it is the' hope of every municipality to develop one or more players capable of representing Canada as a member of Canada's National Thant,' and ''WHEREAS, the Minor Hockey Association in this community has earned the commen- dation and support of every citizen, and .
