This Hibbert Township grader equipped with a V-plow got about a quarter mile down the
Zion line east of Dublin on Monday before it got stuck fast between eight foot banks of drifted
. snow. Help was summoned and another grader called,in. In the attempt to pull the first one
free the frame of the machine was broken . Worl9pen from the firm which manufactured the
grader said that, to avoid further damage, it will have to be repaired on the spot before it can

Treasurer, Mrs. Anne Bbrehell
were authorized to sign the report
of the road superintendent for
1970 road expenditures applying
for subsidy on an amount of
$120,238.75 spent on roads in the
year 1970.
It was decided that a grant
of $200.00 be given to the Farm-
stead ,and Rural Home Improve-
ment program in connection with
the 1972 Provincial Plowing
Match to be held In. Perth County.

into his yard unannounced, he has
been known to use violence. When
his three other daughters. got• in

he told them to “Get out and never
come back!"

First Aid Course on February
2 and will be held' for eight
consecutive weeks at the Mit-,
chell town hall commencing at
8;00 p.m, This` is a very worth-
while and interesting course
and anyone who is interested

Due to the snow storm last
week end January 30 - 31 visi-
tors names did not go out in
the mail. They are as follows:

Circle Meets
The January• meeting, of the
Egmondville Twilight Circle was
.held at the home of Mrs. Bill.
Strong with 10 members and
1.guest present.
- Mrs. Ken Moore presided
over the meeting which was
opened by a short story. In the
business period it was decided
to buy extra sets 'of silverware
to be used by the Church, also
ways and means of earning extra
money for the group was dis-
cussed. It was also decided to
hold an Easter Bake Sale on
April 10th.
Mrs. Keith MacLean demon-
strated how to make flower ar-
rangements and corsages. In
charge of the program. and lunch'
were • Mrs. Bruce Coleman and
Mrs. Jim Rose.
The next meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs. Ken Mcllwaip
on February 15th.
