Hullett students rhyme off their reindeer games Everyone knows about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Olive the other reindeer, but what about the reindeer games? Well the Grade 1/2 Class at Hullett Central Public School put some thought into that this year and shared their ideas with The Citizen. “Reindeers have races to see who can fly the fastest around the North Pole. The winner always gets to lead the sleigh, unless Rudolph has to lead the sleigh because of his red nose.” Micah Adams “I think the song ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ is talking about games like reindeer playing a game with a ball where they keep the ball away from each other with their noses because they don’t have hands.” Sadie Baxter “Reindeer play hide and seek in the North Pole. It helps them become good hiders so we don’t see them or hear them when Santa is delivering presents.” Greg Bell “I think that all the reindeer play ‘Monopoly’ because there are a whole bunch of pieces, so there is enough space and things for them all to play.” Emily Blair “I bet reindeer play ‘Monopoly’ and checkers and maybe tag and freeze tag. They have to have a lot of games because the reindeer have a lot of time that they don’t do anything.” Brett Caldwell “I think the reindeer play tag. They wouldn’t let Rudolph play because he’s small and someone might push him into something and then he would get hurt and then Santa would get all the reindeer in trouble because no one would say they did it.” Paige Ferguson “Santa’s reindeer chase each other and try to tag each other by hitting their antlers together. Only the reindeer, thats it, can touch them though. That’s how they play games.” Wyatt Hoggart “The reindeer play ‘Monopoly’ because I think its fun for me to play so it would be fun for them to play too. I think they would like to have that.” Leah Kuntz “I think the reindeer go on the ice at the North Pole and play hockey because hockey is fun and it’s what they do because it’s fun.” Dylan Lee “Reindeer maybe play tag at the North Pole. It’s good for them because they don’t have hands, so they have to run really hard and try and touch the other reindeer with their noses. I think that sounds like fun.” Makayla Phelan-Govier “The reindeer play reindeer tag. It’s like tag, but you can only touch people with your noses. I’ve played it at the park with my friends and it’s a lot of fun.” Ruby Taylor “I think that the reindeer dance against each other because they use it to be fast and quiet so we can’t catch them. They like to run races against each other as well.” Bo Wharton “Reindeer play tag and hide and seek and all kinds of other games. They like to hide and run and it makes them faster for Santa Claus so they like to play those games.” Mayden Emmerton “I think that reindeer probably like to play fetch because they are just like big dogs for Santa and the elves. They drag his sled, just like sled dogs. I bet they like to play fetch and they like bringing sticks back to Santa Claus.” Ben Hubbard “The reindeer get to play whatever games Santa has and whatever games the elves play. They are normal games, but made a little smaller for elves. The elves let the Blyth/Brussels Gary, Linda & family 519-525-8615 Best wishes to all our friends and customers now and in the coming year.
