was made to Cadet Instructor (CI)
Josh Struthers of the 2967 Army
Corps, who was sworn in as an
Officer Cadet, as of Dec. 15. He
holds the supply officer position,
looking after the 39 Cadets. He is
the first Cadet from the Brussels
Corps who has stayed with the
program since the age of 12. The
Corps acknowledge the assistance of
London detachment with the
enrolment process required.
Congratulations to CI Josh
Struthers!
The Thursday night darters held
their normal darts and then the fun
games. Winners were: first, John and
Sheron Stadelmann and Sandra
Josling; second, Daisy Wong
Schmidt and Bill Connelly; high
shot, Sheron, 115 and Gord Jacklin,
133; second skunk of the season,
Catrina Josling, Marlene Rutledge
and Wayne Smith. The darters all
signed a get-well card to send to
Roger McHardy, who has had heart
surgery. After the fun games of darts
everyone received a Christmas prize
and lots of food and fun was enjoyed
by all. Darts will be on Christmas
break and will resume Jan. 7.
The Friday night supper of
chicken breast was enjoyed by about
15 people. We appreciate all who
have supported the suppers this fall,
but they will now be on a Christmas
break that will go into January.
Watch for the restart of suppers in
the new year sometime. The cooks
are busy in the month of January, so
will be taking a break.
Happy birthday to Cecil Moore,
who celebrated his 90th birthday
with an drop-in open house at the
Branch on Sunday afternoon. We
hope he enjoyed his day!
Regular activities at the Branch
will resume when school returns on
Jan. 4. The Cadets return Jan. 5, the
darts the Jan. 7, the cards the Jan. 9
and the dances Jan. 10. Happy
holidays to all!

the Grade 2 class followed suit. Shown are students rocking out to a Christmas carol. Back
