Members are to meet at 11:45 a.m. The Majestic WI December meeting will be held on Dec. 16 meeting at 11:30 a.m. to go out for lunch. Donations for shut-in boxes are to be brought to the December meeting. In keeping with Remembrance Day thoughts, Marie McCutcheon gave a report on her grandson, Bradley Keffer and his experiences with the Canadian military as a reservist. Brad was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and to Indonesia in 2015. In Afghanistan he provided security to the supply trucks running back and forth from Kandahar Airfield to the various positions through the province. While Brad was in Indonesia he was picked to teach a specialized course. The course was to train members of various nations in the role of Civil-Military Co-operation (CIMIC) whose job is to understand the civilian surroundings and advise a military commander on how to best balance the interests of the military and the regular people who live and work in the area. Marie showed the group many interesting pictures and handed out a Remembrance quiz. The meeting closed with the singing of O’ Canada and the Institute grace. Everyone enjoyed lunch, which was served by Janet Haertel and Bonnie Lindsay.
