I recently came across the card I
gave you on our wedding day. This
is what I wrote to you:
“I’ve never loved you more than I do
at this moment. Thank you for
sharing your life with me. You are
the love of my life! Who would have
ever thought we would make it
through the last few years! I am so
excited about spending my life with
you. You are the kindest and most
giving person I have ever met and I
thank God for bringing us together.
I love you.”
Wish you were here to fulfill our
dream of a lifetime together.
Until we are together again ... I miss
you and will love you always.

STURZENEGGER, Roman.
August 27 1990 - October 31 2010
Dear Brother,
This year makes five. Five years of
would have been, could have been
and should have been. Five years of
missed everything. This year you
would have seen a beautiful new
niece, Julia. Could have been best
man in Martin’s wedding. You
should have held Julia at the
wedding. Missing you is a condition
we have turned into tradition. We
have all been blessed with the time
we had with you. How lucky we are
to have known you and now miss
you. How truly grateful I am for
what I have and had, because of you.
My life is richer because of you,
Roman. 42-1

existing trail system in Wingham.
The duo then outlined the
remaining goals for the
organization, needing $170,000 to
finish the junior-yard playground
structure at MRES, $500,000 for the
Madill sports field and track and
$50,000 to complete the new
learning grounds.
They asked North Huron Council
for $40,000 over the next two
years – $10,000 in 2016 for the
playground and $10,000 and
$20,000 for the field and the track in
2017.
They also requested that council
support the group’s Aviva
Community Fund application by
publicizing it which can be found
through the Bridges group’s
Facebook site.
Councillor Brock Vodden asked
what kind of support the group
would be receiving from the school
board.
“No school board has any
responsibility to build a playground
anymore,” Farrell-Becker said.
Vodden said that was ridiculous –
Farrell-Becker agreed.
“We can’t fight it, however,” she
said. “In the meantime, students
have no playground and a new track
is necessary.”
Vodden then asked who owned the
land and who would be sued if
someone injured themselves on the
equipment or the field. The Bridges
representatives suggested that
waivers are typically used for sports
teams and that the school handles
other usage.
North Huron Director of
Recreation and Facilities Pat
Newson asked if the pricing
included lighting for the soccer
field, which the representatives said
that was yet to be decided.
Council asked several other
questions about the proposed
construction but made no decision
or declaration at the time.
