The new hub, created by the Wingham hospital, brings together a variety of health care providers in one location. “We are happy to join our fellow healthcare professionals in this new facility,” said Tanya Sangster, Public Health Manager. “It’s important that we continue to meet the needs of residents in northern Huron County.” Karl Ellis, CEO of the Wingham hospital, is pleased to have the Health Unit’s Wingham office as part of the health campus. “Bringing together a range of health care providers into one location will be a benefit to the community and health care providers. We are very pleased that the Huron County Health Unit has chosen to be part of this initiative,” he said. All programs and services will continue to be offered at the new site and hours will remain the same. The facility is located at 131 John Street East in the former Wingham Public School, right across from the hospital. A new name for the site has yet to be determined.
