A busy weekend
Despite some chilly weather, the 54th annual reunion of the
Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association brought
nearly 700 campers to the site. Shown enjoying the event
are, clockwise from top left: Some tractor owners in the
daily parade; from left: Carol Shelley, Jean Nethery and
Esther McCutcheon cutting potatoes at the Trinity Anglican
Church meal tent; the feature car for the event, a 1961
Thunderbird convertible owned by Dean Thompson of
Thedford; Joclynn Jepson of Stratford tapping out a tune in
the step dancing contest where she finished first in the
nine-years-old and under contest; a group of people
threshing; antique tractor owners ploughing during plough
day on Thursday and the Teeswater Pipe Band performing
on Saturday. (Denny Scott photos)
