The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning thanks to a three-run home run by Ty Sebastian. Sebringville put two runners across the plate in the top of the second and tied the game at three with a single run in the top of the third inning. Brussels then scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth, thanks in part to a bases-loaded triple by Ben Newell. Jason Kellington hit a sacrifice fly to score Newell. The Sting scored a single run in the top of the seventh. Shawn Daw started on the mound for the Tigers, with Sebastian taking over in relief. The duo combined for 16 strike outs. Sebastian also hit a single to go along with his home run. Andrew Baker had a triple and single for the Tigers with Scott McTavish connecting for a double. Adam Corbett rapped out a pair of singles with single base hits being contributed by Steve Scholl, Corey Campbell and Sean Cook. Daw said it was a good game for the Tigers. “We battled back and the bats were working for us tonight,” he said. “It was a good team effort.” The Tigers were in Zurich on Tuesday for a game against the Rangers and then host the Fullarton A’s on Wednesday in game getting underway at 8:30 p.m. at the Optimist Ball Park in Brussels. The Tigers were at bat in the bottom of the fourth inning when the rains came. The game will be resumed from the bottom of the fourth sometime this season, with Jason Kellington coming to bat. The Stingers held a 4-2 lead when the game was halted in the bottom of the fourth. Dennis Dewar was pitching for the Tigers and Kris Wright was the hurler for Belmore. Ty Sebastian connected for a lead- off home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Dewar and Scholl each rapped out a pair of singles for the Tigers with Adam Corbett getting one single. The game will be resumed later in the season, possibly when the Tigers visit Belmore on Aug. 28.By Jim Brown Special to The Citizen Swing battah! North Huron Economic Development Officer Connie Goodall pointed out that sandwich signs could be used to indicate where parking is for theatre events. Sholdice, however, said she wanted to point out that having people park somewhere other than main street could hurt local commerce instead of helping it. While the outdoor seating may help businesses, having people bypass the main street by parking somewhere and never needing to walk by the restaurants would likely hurt more. Van Leeuwen said that, if the parking problem becomes prevalent with the parkettes, the BIA could look at the possible solutions suggested. A high-scoring affair On July 15, the Blyth Pre-mites were in action and the runs were coming easy and often. The Blyth squad took on their neighbours to the north from Lucknow and came up on the short end of a 23-20 score.
