St. Anne’s raises over $5,000 with colour run
The colours of change
St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School held its Show Your True Colour – Run 4 Change on
Sunday with over 250 students, past students and community members taking part. Over
$5,000 was raised to help build a clean water facility in Ghana as a result of the run. Above,

On Sunday, St. Anne’s Catholic
Secondary School held its “Show
Your True Colour – Run 4 Change”
five-kilometre colour run through
Clinton, with extraordinary results.
The St. Anne’s Me to We group
raised over $5,000 through the event,
which will all go towards the
construction of a clean water facility
in Ghana. The group is also making
a $500 donation to the St. Anne’s
Students for Justice group, which is
raising relief funds for Nepal.
Over 250 people took part in the
run, according to St. Anne’s
Principal Jodi Kuran, and
participants were celebrated at every
kilometre mark.
“As the money from the event was
going to help eradicate extreme
poverty, each colour party
highlighted a different pillar of
sustainable change,” Kuran said.
The run’s first kilometre was
water, the second was health care,
the third, agriculture, the fourth was
alternative income and the fifth was
education.
“Everyone had an amazing time,
as the energy along the route and the
finish line was electric,” Kuran said.
“It was amazing to see so many
families, groups of former [St.
Anne’s] Eagles and all community
members come out to support the
efforts of this dedicated group of
youth who are trying to make a
positive change in the world.”
Over the past six years, the St.
Anne’s Me to We group has raised
over $160,000 for schools in
developing countries.
