CANDACE MARIE BURNHAM
Candace Marie Burnham of
Gowanstown, passed away suddenly
at Victoria Hospital, London on
Saturday, May 23, 2015. She was 13.
Candace was the beloved daughter
of Rob and Charlotte (Crowl)
Burnham, the cherished girlfriend of
Caden Reyes and the granddaughter
of Catherine Burnham, Palmerston;
Marg Calcutt, Strathroy and Leslie
and Veronica Burnham, Dundalk.
Candace will be remembered by
her aunts and uncles Don Sheehan,
Dennis and Joyce Sheehan, Ruth
Loman, David and Linda Sheehan,
Duane and Dianna Sheehan, Wanda
and Tom Hayes, Cindy and Ken
King, Mark and Lisa Calcutt and
Marla Poirier. She will be fondly
remembered by Joe, Christine and
Logan Reyes, as well as many
cousins and friends.
Candace was predeceased by her
sister Casey Lynn Burnham in
infancy, her grandparents Everett
and Ruby Crowl, Bob Calcutt and
uncle Shawn Poirier.
The family received friends at the
Heritage Funeral Homes,
Palmerston on Wednesday, May 27.
Pastor Kurt Reinhardt conducted the
funeral service in the Palmerston
Christian Reformed Church on May
28. Cremation followed.
As expressions of sympathy,
donations to Toronto Sick Children’s
Hospital, Camp Oki or donations to
a memorial fund in Candace’s name
that has been established through the

ROBERT JOHN “BOB”
LEATHAM
Robert John “Bob” Leatham of
Elmwood, passed away at the
Chesley Hospital on Saturday, May
23, 2015. He was in his 56th year.
Bob is survived by his wife and
best friend Wenda Humphries,
Elmwood. He will be fondly
remembered by Wenda’s two sons,
Shaune Stroop (Jenn Mayville),
Kitchener and Paul Stroop, Guelph.
He was the cherished son of Lois
Leatham, Palmerston and brother of
Cheryl Leatham (Darroll Dirkising),
Wabasca, Alberta; Jill Simmons
(Carl Hofman), Drayton and Angela
Leatham, Palmerston. Bob was the
son-in-law of Mary Humphries,
Brussels and the brother-in-law of
Kim (George) Kruse, Bayfield and
Nora Humphries, London. He will
be fondly remembered by many
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and
friends. Bob will also be sorely
missed by his faithful companions
Jack, Paddy, Mimi and Russell. Bob
was predeceased by his father John
Leatham and brother-in-law Robert
Humphries.
To honour Bob’s wishes cremation
has taken place. The family will
receive friends at the Palmerston
United Church on Saturday, June 6
from 11 a.m. until the time of the
memorial service at 1 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy,
donations to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or the charity of one’s
choice would be appreciated by the
family. Arrangements were entrusted
to the Heritage Funeral Home,
Palmerston.
KATHLEEN STECKLEY
Kathleen Mary (Gerber) Steckley
of RR 1, Bluevale, passed away as a
result of a motor vehicle accident on
Thursday, May 28, 2015. Born in
Wellesley Township on July 17,
1944, Kathleen was in her 71st year.
Kathleen was the beloved wife for
53 years of Arnold. She will be sadly
missed by her children Warren and
Denise Steckley, Fort McMurray,
Alberta and Sherry and Chris Tice,
Waterloo. Kathleen was the loving
grandmother to Emma, Hannah and
Ryan and the dear sister of Florence
Rasmussen, Milverton. She was
predeceased by her parents Samuel
and Edna Gerber.
Friends were received by the
family on Sunday at the Schimanski
Family Funeral Home. The funeral
service was conducted at Brussels
Mennonite Fellowship on Monday,
June 1. Pastor Ken Gazley officiated.
Acting as pallbearers were John
Rasmussen, Duane Steckley, Gerald
Steckley, Wayne Bridge, Ted
Browen and Bruce Jantzi. Burial
was in Brussels Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations to Brussels
Mennonite Fellowship would be
appreciated by the family.

MARY ANN (PAT) WRIGHT
Pat Wright of RR 2, Bluevale
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital on May 30, 2015.
She was 71.
The former Pat Schmidt was the
beloved wife of Bill Wright and the
loving mother of William and
Carolyn Ganner, Kim Tout, Brad and
Janice Wright and Joanne and
Clarence Dendekker. She was the
beloved daughter of Marie Dickert
and the sister-in-law of Mary Lou
and Rueben Pfeffer, Harris
Campbell and Glen Johnston. Pat
will be lovingly remembered by 19
grandchildren and 19 great-
grandchildren. She was predeceased
by her father Len Schmidt,
stepfather Dave Dickert, mother-in-
law Eva Wright, sister-in-law Marie
Campbell and three great-
grandchildren.
Private family arrangements have
been entrusted to McBurney Funeral
Home, Wingham. No flowers please.
Memorial donations to Huron Perth
Lung Association or the Canadian
Diabetes Association would be
appreciated as expressions of
