Tour welcomes new gardens
Keeping up the tradition
The Discover the Gardens of Huron-Perth tour is continuing in the area and, despite the
garden changing hands, owners of the Wonky Frog, Scott Ramsay, left, and Cat O’Donnell
have decided to maintain the tradition. Their garden, behind their main street business, is one
of nearly 30 gardens that can be visited throughout the summer. Visit the Wonky Frog garden
and you have a good chance of running into the couple and their greyhound Grant as well as
seeing some unique gardening ideas. For more information, pick up a pamphlet at The
Citizen. (Denny Scott photo)
For its fourth year as a season-
long event, the Discover the Gardens
of Huron-Perth tour has added
several new gardens to the tour,
bringing the total number of gardens
to 29.
Organizer Rhea Hamilton-Seeger
of the Auburn area said the new
gardens feature some very exciting
additions and expand the area
covered by the tour.
“They’re on the fringes of our
area,” she said in a recent interview
with The Citizen. “People had been
on the tour and were friends of the
people with the new gardens and
suggested that they get involved.”
The new gardens are: Hosta
Chamber, run by Jim and Rosa
Chambers and located in Belmore;
Serendipity Garden, run by Thyra
Knudsen and Patrick Capper near
Clinton and Ridgewood Garden run
