On April 10, I underwent a six hour robotic surgery at Victoria Hospital, London by oncologist Dr. Sugimoto. I would like to thank my family Carl, Brenda and Marc and my sister Trish who stood by and waited countless hours for the surgery to end. I’d like to thank my husband, Murray and Joanne Souch, Kerry Nesbitt and my sister for visiting me in London. Thanks to everyone for the cards, phone calls and get well wishes. I’d like to thank Laurie Van Wyk, Shirley Stanway, Kendra Wilts and Barb Bosman for all the food they sent. Thanks also to the Londesboro UCW for the TV dinners. I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks to my husband Carl for looking after me so well and becoming chief cook and bottle washer. He knows a woman’s work is never done. We are hopeful further treatments will not be needed. Our son Ron is vacationing at Braemar in Wingham for a couple of months while I recover. FYI – My brother Willie is having surgery at St Joseph’s, London on April 27. His oncology surgeon is Dr. Chin. Keep him in your thoughts. Thank You – Lena Nesbitt. 16-1 WHEELER. The family of the late Helen Wheeler would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the relatives, friends and neighbours who have helped us during our difficult time.
