The family of the late Betty Gowing (Raymond) wishes to express our gratitude to our extended family, friends and neighbours for all the support that you have given us. Your visits, calls and cards to Mom over the last few weeks while she was in Wingham and District Hospital helped her so much. Your presence at the visitations and funeral service, your prayers, floral tributes and memorial donations since her passing have been a comfort to us all. Thank you to all Mom’s friends at the Huronlea apartments – she so enjoyed her time there with you. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Shuffield, Dr. Vanderklippe and the caring staff at the WHD. Even though Mom was only at the Huronlea Home for the Aged for a short time, the staff there was wonderful to her. Thank you to Frank and Jennie at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home for all their guidance. We were pleased that Pastor Perry Chuipka who knew Mom so well could conduct her funeral service. “The McCutcheon Girls” who brightened Mom’s day on so many occasions also did so by taking part in the service. Thank you to the Brussels Legion Branch for arranging the reception after her funeral. You all have touched our hearts with your kindness, and we shall remember forever. 09-1 MEAT LOAF LUNCHEON, Blyth Legion, Thursday, March 12, 11:00 - 1:00, $7. Dessert $2.50 extra.
