Plans were made to hold .a progressive euchre party in the hall on January 9th with Group one in charge. A' fashion parade of the sleep wear made by the 4-H4, girls' in their last clpb followed. Staffa Women's Institute sponsors three 4-H clubs with Mrs. Spencer Jef- fery and Mrs. Bill Hutson leading Staffs - No.1; Mrs. John Wallace and Mrs. Charles Douglas leading Staff a No.11 and Mrs. Leslie Wad- dell and Mrs. Filmer Chappel leading.Staffa No.111. - - Miss Vera Hambley presided for the programme and gave an interesting 'paper on the motto - Christmas Customs and Christ- mas superstitions. Chappel. * * * * * * Mrs. Ronald Kraemer and her Grade 5 and 6 pupils at Hibbert School No. 4 entertained the pre- schoel children, parents and. friends at a Christmas party on Thursday. Plays, recitations and songs were enjoyed followed by lunch served by mrs.Kraemer and her pupils. The appreciation of those present was expressed by Mrs.' Charles Douglas. The pres- ident opened with ithe Call to Wor- ship. Three hymns were sung with , Karen Insley and Pamela Rodd as pianists. Nancy Jaques read the scripture and Paul Brine led in prayer. Storles were read by Mrs.Glenn Copeland and Mrs. Wm. Dickey. Readings were given by Lori Webb, Margaret Parkinson, linda Timms, Michelle Robinson and Vernon Thomson. Bobby Cowdrey and Paul Robinson received the offering. Mrs. G. Copeland conducted a Bible study. The meeting closed with the Messenger Prayer. During the church service'' Sunday morning, an offering plate for the choir was dedicated in memory of the late Beth Thacker, who was for years a faithful choir • member and leader.
