At Monday night's meeting
of Edelweiss Rebekah Lodge,
Miss Eleanor Henderson reported
on the annual, dinner meeting at
Kitchener of the Rehabilitation
Foundation,. which incorporates
the March of Dimes fund, Mrs.
Gordan Papple and Mrs. R. M.
Scott also attended.
Donations were made to the
Muscular Dystrophy Association,
the. Navy League of Canada
(Women's Division) and to the
Pioneer Memorial Mausoleum
Fund. The latter was in lieu of
flowers for the late George Robb,
father of Mrs. Keith Sharp.
A joint social evening is ,
planned with members of,Fidel-
ity Lodge, I. 0. 0. F. on Novem-
ber 7. A pot-luck supper is to •
precede a report by Bill Boussey,
now of Clinton, of his trip to
the United Nations and other
centres, this past summer, He
was top orator in a public speak-
ing competition sponsored by
district Rebekah and I. 0. 0. F.
Lodges.
A draw for a quilt made by

- A number of visitors attend-
ed the monthly meeting of the
L. C. W. of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church Wednesday evening. Mrs.
Norma Young led a short dis-
cussion following a film that was
shown. Mrs. Clara. Young, Mrs.
Laura Mogk and Mrs. Ella Rose
were in charge of the devotions.
The president, Mrs. Florence
Rock, thanked the guests for
attending. Mrs. George Rock,
vice president, in absence of
the secretary Mrs. Earl Rock,
read minutes. Mrs„ Harold Mogk
__gave the treasurer's report. Mrs.
Chris. Leonhardt led the Mission

Usborne Council held its
October meeting at Elimville
with Reeve Roy Westcott and
Councillors Lloyd Ferguson, Lloyd
Smith, Walter McBride and. Wil-
liam Morley present.
Council approved an applic-
ation to the Department of High-
ways for interim subsidy on road
expenditure of 577,886.55 and
agreed to purchase two Remem-
brance Day wreaths for the Exeter
and Central School memorials.
Council instructed that the
Department of Highways be ad-
vised that the condition of High-
way No, 4 Reconstruction haul
road was not yet satisfactory.

lecting the list of jurors for duty
in 1970.
Road accounts amounting to
$7637A1 as submitted by the Roac
Superintendent, general accounts
of $28, 791. 94 submitted by the ,
Treasurer, were cleared for pay-
ment.
