council took no action.
"In view of the fact we're
not conversant with it we can't
do much about it",'Mayor Sills
said,
Mrs. E. Baker in a letter to..
Chief 'Gordon Hulley, expressed
appreciation for the effortS of
council and police to reduce

Acting on a recommendation
of the planning board, council
named,Clerk E. M. Williams as
administrator under the zoning
by-law.
Clerk Williams said he would
be willing to serve but wished
amendments to the building by-
law, so that applications for
building permits would provide
sufficient information to per-
mit a check being made as to
whether requirements of the by-
laws were in fact, being fol-
lowed, Council agreed, to the
changes which will be drafted.
Coun. Bert Moggach recalled
experiences he had had in oth-
er centres and said he took it
for granted that similar require-
.' intents existed here.
"You'll have better homes if
the regulations are followed,"
he said.
Couhcil has no authority to
extend the period in which the „-
Boshart properties could be re-
deemed Clerk Williams said as
he read a letter from a firm of
solicitors asking for an exten-
sion until Jan. 31, 1970. The
deadline establiShedr by statute
is next Nov. 23, he said.
Reeve J.°F. Flannery suggest-
ed council obtain legal advise

necessary and took no action on
the request..
