readings 'Autumn Yield' and
'Thanksgiving'. The secretary's -
report was given. Mrs. Murray
Christie and Mrs. Almer Dow
were named delegates to the
sectional 'meeting at Monkton.
Plans were made to pack a bale

the Interim Subsidy tinder the

the Engineer's fees on the Rodger
and Schultz drains to the 1969
roll.

40th ANNIVERSARY
A surprise fortieth wedding
anniversary celebration was held
Sunday at the Brodhagen Com-
munity Hall for Mr..-and Mrs,
Norman Bennewies, The family,
treated theirparents to a supper
catered to by the Chamber of
CoMmerce ladies. A family
photograph was taken and in the
evening more relatives, friends
and neighbours joined together.
Progressive euchre was en-
joyed by all with prizes going
to Ladies High - Mrs:• Clarence
Regele; Men's High - Armand Le
Gras; Ladies Low - Mrs: Laurence
Messerschmidt, and Men's Low -
Harvey KOehler.
A set of luggage, humidifier,
T. V. trays, chime clock as well
as many beautiful smaller gifts
were presented to the celebrants.

married forty years ago, Octob-
er•12 at the bride's home by the ,

OBITUARY
G.V.KLEINFELDT
Gordon Victor Kleinfeldt, a
Brampton contractor, died Sept-
ember 19 after suffering a
heart attack. He was the son Of
the late Mr. and Mrs.'Roland
Kleinfeldt and a former resident
of Dublin.
Mr. Kleinfeldt, 46, P. Eng„
was president of G. V. Klein-
feldt and Associates, Brampton.
Service was held September 19
at Streetsville United Church.
Mr. Kleinfeldt had been an
active member of several trade
associations, including the
Association of Consulting En-
gineers of Canada for 6 years;
the Association of Professional
Engineers of Ontario for 16
years and the Engineering In-
stitute of Canada for 6 years.
He had also belonged to the
Board of Trdde of Metropolitan
Toronto and the Rotary Club of
Clarkson,
After serving in the Air 'Force
during World War 11, Mi. Klein-
feldt attended the University of
Toronto and graduated in 1949.
He then served in the Army
until 1956 when he joined the ,
firm of Larzridiz Lount and
Partners as a field engineer and
rose to become a director. In
1958 he formed Pennot Con-
sultants which dw.ds-,Incorporated
three years laders as Kleinfeldt
and Associates Limited. * -
He leaves his wife, Norma
Brodie and four daughter's,
Sondre-Lee, Carol Jane, Jo-
Anne, Mary Lynn (Mrs, David
Maltby) and a son David Gor-
don.

The Walkathon which will
take place next Saturday has
gone way beyond the expect-
Y.ations of the Dublin Athletic
Association who are in charge
. of the event. '
All proceeds will go to the
building of an outdoor skating
rink and playground equipment
for the use of the children in
-the area, -
The walk will be supervised
by the Ontario ProvinciaLdpolice
and the St, John's Ambulance "
will be on hand to render their
services to anyone in difficulty,

donated a truck and a man to
distribute soft drinks. to the child-

There will be ,portable wash-
rooms at strategic points along
the route which is a distance of -
20 miles. The executive will be
supplying doughnuts also.
All walkers are to report to

points along the route to prove
that they were there.
In commenting on the event,
members of the executive ex-
pressed pleasure at the co-oper-
ation received from not only
those walking but their sponsors,
