TRY US (6antinued from page 1) We took a ferry over to Irew land for two week and were very surprised at what we saw. The countryside is rugged as are its people. We, saw peat being cut everywhere, as it is still the principal f uek In fact one-fifth of Ireland is under peat. We spent tWQ days in N. Ireland and then headed west following the entire coastline until we reach- ed „Dublin. The people here are noticeably not as well off as the English. UNSPOILED IRELAND Ireland is surprisingly un- spoiled by tourism as are th e people and it was a refreshing .change for1us. Everybody took an immediate interest in us and Our travels and were delighted to talk to us about their country. Entertainment is much chea- per here than in England as we found out. A full day of golf , including rental of clubs , was less than $2. 00. A first-run show, cost • 600 for the two of us. Our only disappointment here was the weather as it rained all but two days of our visit. As we crossed on the ferry • back to Great Britain we read of the beginning of trouble in N. Ireland. We Spent only two days in N. Wales but had time enough to see Canarvon Castle where Prince Charles was invested as ,Prince of Wales. Those of you that saw the ceremonies on T. V. likely saw more than we did as the castle was literally crawling with tourists on the day of our visit. It was too bad everyone couldn't.see it in colour as the setting is as beaux- ' iful, as any in North Wales. The decorations were still hanging and made a'very colourful sight. We won't go into much, de- tail on Scotland itself except to say it was a holiday m a holiday. For the first time on. our trip we didn't have to do a . thing, tea in bed, all our meals cooked for us and best of all, sit around the peat fire, and watch the women do the dishes. Some of the loveliest scenery is the Scottish highlands, quite Office Main Street SEAFORTH Insures: * Town Dwellings * All Classes of Farm Property * Summer Cottages * Churches, Schools, Halls Extended coverage (windy' smoke, water damage, *falling objects, etc.) is also available, AGENTS: James Keys, RR 1?
