JERRY EDWARD DOERR
Jerry Edward Doerr, a form-
er member of McKillop council,
died suddenly. at his home in
McKillop; north of town, on
Tuesday. He was 61.
Mr. Doerr was born in Gads-
hill and following attendance
at school farmed for a number
of years before moving to- Mc-
Killop. He was active in the
township serving on the Mc-
Killop council for nine years.
He continued to farm there
until his retirement in 1967.
Mr. Doerr was married in
McKillop in 1928 to Freda .C.

him together with seven daught-
ers, Hazel, Mrs. A. Beuerman,
R.R.1, Dublin; Ruby, Mrs.
Colin Moore, Rexdale; Bernice,
Mrs. Hugh McPherson,' Seaforth;
Aaureen, Mrs. James Horan, R.
R. 5, Mitchell; Joanne, Mrs.
Rose, Stratford; Betty, Mrs.
Frank McCutcheon, Brussels;
Kathy, Mrs. Gerry Cooper,
Seaforth and a son, Robert L.
Doerr, Ailsa Craig. He is also
survived by brothers William
and John of Rostock; sisters
Ella, Mrs. Fred Hoegy, Sea-
forth; Ethel, Mrs. Harvey Read-
head, Kitchener and Priscilla,
Mrs. Ed. Knechtel, Rostock
and by 27 grandchildren.
The remains are resting at
the R. S. Box Funeral Home,
Sea for th.
Mr. Doerr was a member of
Rostock United Church where
funeral services will take place
-Yon Friday at 2 p. m. conducted ,
by Rev. E. E. Pletch assisted by
Rev. D. L. Patterson. Interment
will follow in Rostock cemetery
GEORGE EATON
George Eaton passed away in
Seaforth Cornmunity Hospital
on Saturday, September 13;1969
in his 89th year.
Born in 'Birmingham, England
on March 21, 1881, he was the
son of the late William Eaton
and Ann Starkey and came to
Canada when he was ten years
of age, following the death of
his parents,
He resided in Winthrop over
fifty years, coming to' Seaforth
in 1944,
Mr. Eaton was a life member
member of Northside United
of The Royal Canadian Legion
Seaford' Branch No.156 and a'
Church. He served overseas with
the 161st and 58th. Battalion in
World War 1.
He was married on October
10, 1906 to Iva Della Sheridan
who survives together with two
daughters, Mrs. Foster Bennett
(Margaret) Seaforth; Mrs. Peter
McCowan (Isabel) of McKillop
Township; three sons, Walter
(Tim) Seaforth; Don, Egmond-
\title; Ken, Toronto; 12 grand-
children and 10 great grandchild-
ren.
Funeral services were held
from the G. A. Whitney funeral
home on Tuesday, September
16 conducted by his minister, Rev.
J. C. Britton.
Honorary Pallbearers,

Alex Muir, Bob Smith, James
Racho, Al Nicholson, Jack Eisler
and Glen Smith.

service. Members of Edelweiss
Rebekah Lodge and of the Sea-
forth Lions Club also attended
the groups on Monday evening.
