LADIES AUXILIARY The Legion Ladies Auxiliary resumed their meeting Tuesday evening with seventeen mem:- bets present, President Mrs. Garnet Allarir "Who presided, announced that the money draw scheduled for September, has hen postponed until October. The group catered for the banquet for 12'0 Kinsmen and Kinettes installation of officers. The Auxiliary will observe their 20th birthday October '7th. lyIrs. Harry Horton won the Mystery prize, Mrs, Clarence Reid, guessing prize and Mrs. Wm. Smale the attendance draw. REBEK4H LODGE Amber Rebekah Lodge met Wednesday after the summer vacation with Noble Grand Mrs, Earl Campbell chairing the meeting. Plans were made to hold Past Noble Grand's night Sept- ember 17th when each Past Grand will; invite a visitor. Jewels will be presented in the early Fall. It was decided to continue visits to Queensway Nursing Horne, Miss Carolyn Cook has en- rolled at Alma College, St. Thomas for the coming year. Mrs. Delbert Geiger is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, Landon, where she underwent surgery, Mrs. Terry North, Teresa and 'Tammy of Fingal spent last'week with Mr. Stewart McQueen and Mrs. Harry Snell. Mr. Harry Snell, who has been a patient in South Huron Hospital, has returned home. The U. C. W. Unit 4 of Hen- sail met in Fellowship Hall in the United-Church. Mrs. James McAllister presided. The devot- ional was in charge of Mrs. Eliz- abeth Riley. Mrs. Rodger Vernier contributed a reading based on the Bible versd'If God is for us who can be against us", which she composed while on vacatio at the Lake. Mrs. E. Rowe had charge of the Bible study f or which three groups were formed each with a leader,. The script- ure under study was Romans 10, 8-17. The roll call was answer- ed by 22 members and the three guests, DEAR DORIS - The boy I am dating is nice, but never seems calm. I asked his friend if he has another girl friend. He says he does as far as he knows. How will I find out if he likes me or is just using 'me, when he gets turned down by his girl friend? Should I ask him to his face or what? DEAR DORIS - When I final- ly told my husband I was leav- ing, he stopped drinking and has not had anything for. four months now. But as far as sex goes, I have no feeling for him at all. But I think he stopped drink- ing through the summer months, just for me to stay, and when winter comes when (''can't go as easily, he will start ,again.I love my kids and he does too, but if he has that in his mind, will go, winter or not.
