The ,Dublin Colleen's 4-H
Club met Monday evening at the
home of Mrs. Charles Friend un-
der the leadership of Mrs. Friend
and Mrs. F. Guilfoyle. A new
late of officers were elected as
follows: President - Teresa
Flannigan; Vice President -
Mary Ann O'Rourke; Secretary -
Ann Aikens; Treasurer - Joan-
ne Van Bergen; Phoning Com-
mittee - Linda Van Bergen,
Colleen Rowland, Marilyn Ryan;
Lunch Committee - Lou Ann
Rowland, Melba Jean Friend;
Press Reporter - Glenna Brown.
This club is called 'Being
well dressed and well groomed'.
The 20 girls in the club will
make a duster or jump suit.
Keep a record book and practice
good care of her person and
clothes. Each member received
questionaires on posture which
"We Reserve the Right to Limit Quantities"

Summer activities of the
Dublin Athletic Association
neared completion Sunday after- s
noon with a ball tournament in
which local teams took part.
As the summer program drew
to 'a close executive members
began plans for fall and winter
schedules and looked back over 1 .
a full program.
In the Spring a dance was
held in Brodliagen Hall to help
raise funds to provide equip-
ment for the playground. Some
of the equipment in use through-
out the Summer included sand
boxes, swings, teeter-totters
and bats and balls.
Joe Cronin, Ken Whetham
and Ed. Rowland organized
three baseball teams for boys
. between the ages of 8 and 12.
The boys were eager to learn
and therefore played with great
enthusiasm. Hoping for the same
progress next season as the young
players achieved this year, the
executive is looking to the day
when a Mickey Mantel will turn
up in Dublin.
' The executive are plaRing
now for some form of skating
activity on an outdoor rink dur-
ing the coming-winter. With a
hit of luck, they hope to have
married men's and married
. women's ball teams next year
as well as one or two girls soft-7
ball teams.
Miss Jo-Ann Goettler has left
for Ottawa to attend Carleton
University where she plans to'
obtain her degree in Journalism.

ll2, Dublin is 'attending a
boys high school in Windsor.
Mr. Jack Stapleton is attend-
ing his first year at Western Un-
iversity.
