Shirley has operated a beauty shoppe in Dublin for the past seven years but due to ill health has had to discontinue and close her shoppe. Many friends and customers at- tended and presented her with various gifts. She thanked every- one and invited them to visit her at her apartment in Mitchell. Lunch was served. Mrs. Mary Smith and three grandchildren of Detroit visited with Mrs., Ted Doyle. Miss Susan Friend, who has spent the past three months in Weston, has returned home. BOB CRONIN MISS MONICA BYRNE Mixed emotions were dis- played Tuesday as students, re- cognizing the close of their summer vacation, enrolled for classes at St. Patrick's Separate School in Dublin. The Dublin school repofted an increase in enrolment of 13 students on the opening day of school., Enrolment at the school reached 152 compared with 139 at the close of classes last June. NEW STUDENTS Not all of the students wore long faces when they returned to school. There were the 21 bright-eyed smiling faces in the crowd of 152 representing the new pupils beginning Grade 1.
